Three beautiful floral perfumes for Spring

Spring perfumes
The Spring has truly sprung!
And thank God for that because with the worldwide pandemic of Covid-19 sunshine and warmer temperatures definitely help with the overall well being while dealing with the stressful situation.

I might have been at home for days wearing only loungewear and no makeup but you can bet I've been using my perfumes. I'm a fragrance addict, I wear perfumes every day, even to bed, LOL!
Perfumes make me feel well put together, elevate my mood, bring back memories. I'm fascinated by scents, how they are created and people who work on them.

I have quite a few perfumes in my collection, and I usually like to use different ones for different seasons and different occasions.
Today I'd like to introduce you to three floral fragrances that I, personally, love for Spring.
Obviously, fragrance is a very personal subject, what I love it might be not your thing and vice versa, what I like wearing in Spring you might like in Winter, etc. but it's always good to hear other people's opinion on them.

BALENCIAGA Florabotanica EDP, £95 for 100ml

Balenciaga Florabotanica

Top notes: Mint
Middle notes: Rose, Carnation,Cannabis
Base notes: Vetiver, Amber

This is one of my latest fragrance discoveries and immediate obsession. This is a loud fragrance, despite being in the floral category, and definitely one of the more unique ones.
The projection of it is great, it's definitely not a subtle fragrance and people around you will smell it. The longevity of Florabotanica is also amazing, it lasts for hours on my skin and days on my clothes. I love my fragrances to last long on my skin, hence I usually choose EDP over EDT, and this one has really impressed me.

The bottle is beautiful, modern, contemporary, noticeable, just like the fragrance.

So what does this perfume smell like?
To me it's like an overgrown, a bit wild garden full of flowers, right after the rain, dewy, green, almost herbal scent with base of flowers in full bloom.

It's green but it's also floral. It's fresh but it also has a subtle sweetness to it.
Many people who reviewed it say it smells like cannabis and rose. I'm not that familiar with cannabis scent, LOL!, so to me it just smells grassy, a bit mossy but in a nice fresh way. You can definitely detect the rose and not the old fashioned, powdery rose but more like a garden full of blooming roses, fresh and sweet, almost addictive.
The opening of the fragrance is fresh and sharp, you can distinguish the mint there. It dries down to this beautiful fresh, yet warm floral scent that will stay the same for hours.

I absolutely love it and it's one of my absolute favourite picks for Spring, I'd say it would be more of a daytime fragrance for me but I think it would transform beautifully into an evening as well.

DIOR J'Adore Absolu EDP, £110 for 100ml

Dior J'adore Absolu

Top notes: Jasmine Sambac, Magnolia
Middle notes: Jasmine, Rosa Centifolia , Indian Tuberose
Base notes: Orange Blossom

I had the original J'adore perfume years ago and loved it, repurchased couple of times and then let it go but recently I've decide to give the new version of it a go and it's fair to say I'm loving it, probably even more then I did the original one.

To me this is an explosion of jasmine and magnolia drenched in sunshine. As opposed to the original version of J'adore, the Absolu is warmer, a touch sweeter, thanks to Honeyed Orange Blossom, almost like a floral nectar.
It's lush, opulent, elegant, very feminine scent but, again, not a subtle one.
A woman wearing it will be definitely noticeable. I always picture Charlize Theron in J'adore advertisement, sexy, sensual, feminine but strong and confident.

The projection, silage and longevity is also very good with this perfume, it's not as loud as Florabotanica but definitely a fragrance that others will smell on you without being very close. It lasts on my skin for a long time but I like to reapply it after about 5-6 hours as the drydown becomes much more subtle.

The bottle, the same as the other J'adore perfumes, is beautiful and it imitates women's silhouette wrapped in golden gown.

If you love white florals in your fragrance and want something with a bit more of a punch J'adore Absolu might be the one for you. Beautiful scent for Spring and also Summer, it could make the perfect choice for a warm Summer evening.

KAYALI by Huda Beauty Déjà Vu White Flower | 57 EDP, 50ml for £67

Kayali Deja Vu White Flower

Top notes: Pear, Nectarine, Gardenia
Middle notes: Indian Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Tuberose
Base notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Cashmere Wood, Tahitian Vanilla

The newest addition to my perfume collection and a new release from Huda Beauty. I bought it blindly after watching couple of reviews on YouTube but I'm not regretting it!
This is a beautiful, soft floral fragrance with a hint of vanilla.

This is a more subtle fragrance, I've had people complementing me on it so it definitely projects quite well but it's not one that will take over the room. It's classy and feminine, sexy and sensual, sophisticated blend that is not too floral but also not too sweet, like some vanilla fragrances can be.

The opening is a fruity but it quickly transforms into this bouquet of white flowers with warm base of vanilla and sandalwood. It's floral, but warm and cosy, it's hard to distinguish between the flowers, the blend is very smooth.

The longevity of Déjà Vu White Flower is good but I need to reapply it after 4-5 hours because it is a softer fragrance although the warm notes lingers on my clothes for much longer.

Thanks to the mix of fruits, florals and warm notes you could wear this perfume all year round probably and it would adjust easily to all the seasons and occasions. I like to wear it on a cloudy Spring days as it gives me cosy vibes while still being floral and light. I would probably reach for it in Summer evenings as well.

The bottle is simple but classy and elegant, it reminds me the cut of precious stones. The number 57 after the name of the fragrance is apparently the number of the laboratory sample that was finally approved as the final scent ready to be bottled up :)

Are you familiar with any of these perfumes? What would be your perfect Spring fragrance?
