Dermalogica Phyto-Nature Firming Serum - luminous and firmer skin in an instant

(Gifted product as a part of #skinfluencer campaign)

I have spoken about my love for Dermalogica products in the past (see my post) so I was beyond excited to receive their new Phyto-Nature Firming Serum along with couple of other bits.
Claims of reducing visible signs of skin aging and reawakening the nature of younger-looking skin sounded promising so I started using it straightaway. The serum has been part of my morning routine for over 7 weeks now and not only I've been thoroughly enjoying it but it might be taking a title of the most impressive skincare product I've tried this year!

Let's get into some technical information before sharing my thoughts on the serum.
It comes in a bottle with a pump and two chambers separating the two different phases: lifting and firming (to separate actives) which are dispensed at the same time when pressing the pump.
You need to mix both phases together and applied them to face and neck, I need two pumps to do that.

The texture of the serum is liquid-y, viscous but not in a sticky way and feels quite rich on the skin. It takes a while to sink in but spritzing face with facial spray just beforehand and giving your face a little massage with Gua Sha (both were sent to me with the serum) or just your fingers help the serum to melt into your skin.
It might not be the quickest serum to apply but I don't mind the extra minute in my morning skincare routine because you're instantly left with more luminous and tighter feeling, in a good way, complexion.
There is slight herbal scent to it but nothing too offensive or overpowering.
Once absorbed it doesn't feel oily or sticky on the skin and other skincare products, makeup apply well over it.

In the firming phase, Sapphire-bound bio-mimetic peptides help firm skin and reinforce skin defenses to counter visible signs of skin aging accelerated by environment and lifestyle.

In the lifting phase, Phyto-Nature technology uses potent, plant-derived bio-extracts to visibly tighten skin.
Amazonian Camu Camu helps prolong radiance and brighten the skin thanks to containing 60 times more Vitamin C then an orange. Hyaluronic Acid delivers a filler effect plumping up the skin and deeply hydrates it.
Antioxidant Moroccan Rockrose Extract and Madagascar Green Coffee Bean visibly revitalize skin and help decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

There are many more ingredients in both phases and there's intriguing technology/science behind the formula but I won't be getting into details on that as I am not expert, if you're interested to read about it I recommend visiting Dermalogica website :)

What I can tell you is my experience of using this serum.
As promised you get a luminous looking skin straight after the application, I experienced a tight feeling (not in an uncomfortable way) after the first few application. I no longer feel my skin being tight but I can definitely tell my skin looks smoother and firmer. It's hard to see it in the photos, hence I'm not including any 'before and after' images, but I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin's elasticity and firmness. I'm 40 years old and, although I'm mostly happy with my skin, it's definitely not as bouncy, plump and firm as it used to be in my 20s, so having serum which actually brings some of that youthfulness back it's amazing. My skin has been looking smoother, more taut and glowing, fine lines and wrinkles have definitely improved and large pores are appearing smaller.

I am really impressed with the Phyto-Nature Firming Serum.
Yes, it's very expensive but if it is within your budget and you don't mind investing in your skincare products then I highly recommend it, especially if you're already in your late 30s, 40s and noticed that your skin has lost some firmness. If you're considering Botox or some other treatments to keep your skin looking more youthful then the serum might delay the need for them.
I'm dreading the morning when I pump out the last drop of this serum, LOL, but I know I will be repurchasing it once it's finished.
