M&S Formula Skin Solutions face masks for all the skin's needs

(Post contains gifted products)

Isn't taking your makeup off and cleansing your face at the end of the day one of the best feelings ever? Plus giving your skin a bit of a pamper with a face mask or three :)
I absolutely love having pamper sessions at home which may include almost a facial-like experience with different treatments one after another. I would love to have professionally done facials on regular basis but they're expensive so having a face mask every few days at home is the next best thing for me :)
Few weeks ago I was kindly sent three new face masks by M&S Beauty and have been using them regularly to see how effective they are and if less expensive formulas can rival those that cost 2, 3 times as much.
I am already a big fan of the M&S own brand Formula (check out this post) so I was excited to give these three face masks a go.

M&S Formula Skin Solutions face masks

M&S Formula Skin Solutions Charcoal Purifying Face Mask*, £14 for 50ml
Buy here: Marks & Spencer

Ingredients:
Aqua, kaolin, glycerin, magnesium aluminum silicate, perlite, zea mays starch, carbon, polysorbate 20, xanthan gum, phenoxyethanol, parfum, ethoxydiglycol, caprylyl glycol, salicylic acid, chlorphenesin, disodium EDTA, citric acid, hydrolyzed, hyaluronic acid, ci 77499.

If you have normal to oily skin type or/and your skin is prone to congestion, (blocked pores, blackheads, breakouts), you need a clay, charcoal, purifying face mask to draw out the impurities from the pores and leave your skin cleaner, smoother and healthier. There are literally hundreds of this type of face masks on the market but what I particularly love about this one is the addition of salicylic acid (BHA) in the formula which helps to 'unblock' the pore, gently exfoliating the skin and helps to get rid of all the gunk from inside the pores making them look afterwards smaller and the whole complexion smoother.
Once applied to the skin the face mask dries out after about 15 minutes but it's not too difficult to remove it and the addition of glycerine and hyaluronic acid makes it far less drying then some other clay masks I've tried in the past.

M&S Formula Skin Solutions Rose Water Hydrating Face Mask*, £14 for 50ml
Buy here: Marks & Spencer

Ingredients:
Aqua, glycerin, propanediol, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, polysorbate 20, pullulan, phenoxyethanol, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, chlorphenesin, parfum, caprylyl glycol, rosa damascena flower water, allantoin, , sodium hydroxide, tasmannia lanceolata fruit/leaf extract, cocos nucifera oil, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, ci 17200, ci 15985.

The pink face mask which looks just like a jelly plus it smells like a fruity dessert with rose notes might be my favourite out of the three. It's absolutely perfect to use after the Charcoal Purifying Face Mask to hydrate the skin. I find this face mask excellent at soothing my skin, (thanks to rose water, allantoin, tasmannia lanceolata fruit/leaf extract) and injecting a good amount of hydration. I leave it on for much longer then the recommended time and once I've washed it off my skin feels very plump and hydrated with a good amount of glow.

M&S Formula Skin Solutions Coconut Deeply Nourishing Face Mask*, £14 for 50ml
Buy here: Marks & Spencer

Ingredients:
Aqua, glycerin, propanediol, cocos nucifera oil, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, theobroma cacao seed butter, butyrospermum parkii butter, olea europaea fruit oil, simmondsia chinensis seed oil, astrocaryum murumuru seed butter, phenoxyethanol, glyceryl stearate, peg-100 stearate, parfum, sodium polyacrylate, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, caprylyl glycol, chlorphenesin, disodium EDTA, sodium hydroxide, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, tocopherol, citric acid.

This face mask smells absolutely delicious and it's perfect to deeply nourish and hydrate dry, parched  skin. It's full of nourishing oils and butters, like coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, cacao seed butter, shea butter so it would suit really well mature or/and very dry skin. For my normal/combination skin is a bit too rich so I don't tend to reach for it too often and when I do I only leave it on my skin for about 15 minutes. But it can be left overnight which would be beneficial for those with very dry skin.

Overall, I think these three face masks are definitely worth having in your skincare cabinet and they won't break the bank either.
