Rå Oils - the Nordic cruelty free, vegan brand worth checking out

Post contains gifted products

I've said it already many times but I will say once again that one of the greatest perks of blogging for me has been the opportunity to discover smaller or/and less known brands and try their products which I wouldn't have probably otherwise. And today I want to talk to you about two products from Rå Oils (translated as raw oils), Iceland brand born in 2013 when Frida (daughter) had finally had enough of searching for a solution to her acne and Elin (mother), a beauty therapist and later an aroma therapist, decided to take matter into her own hands. Seeing amazing results with her first facial oil, as Frida's skin improved amazingly, Elin has created more products for different skin concerns. All of them are handmade in small batches which ensures you're always getting fresh product, are based on pure, high quality oils, don't contain any 'fillers' or preservatives and are packaged in environment friendly bottles/jars made to protect essential oils from harmful light.
I had the chance to test the Radiance Clay Mask and Eternal Radiance facial oil and I'd love to share with you my thoughts on them.

Easy smokey eye look created with The Balm Nude Beach palette

Another month, another makeup for the blog :) It is something I really enjoy doing and it also pushes me to play a bit more with my makeup stash, even if it's only couple of times a month and then I mostly stick to super quick, neutral, work-appropriate or very minimal, eye looks. Today I'm bringing you easy smokey eyes created with The Balm Nude Beach palette (only £19.95 at the moment) which hasn't been in my collection for too long but it's quickly become one of the 'go to', it's a beautiful palette with great quality eyeshadows and the packaging with it's graphics always makes me smile and think of holidays :)
Just as last time, I will focus on the eye makeup and explain you step by step how I created it.

Skincare ingredients demystified: Alpha Lipoic Acid - what is it and if you need it in your skincare routine

I'm starting a new series on my blog where I will talk in more details about single skincare ingredient which might be popular in skincare products or less known but worth giving it a closer look either way. While working at a beauty counter in a store I have realised that not everyone knows a lot about skincare ingredients and what they should look for in products they buy to benefit their skin in the best way. So what for us, beauty enthusiasts. might be clear and obvious, it doesn't have to be to others. I hope to make my readers more curious and knowledgeable about skincare ingredients. I am not by any means an expert in skincare, but I have a degree in chemistry and I like to do my research when it comes to different ingredients, so together with my personal experience I might be able to share with you some key info. I will also let you know which product/s containing that ingredient I am currently using and how they work for me. Feel free to add comments, information regarding the ingredients I talk about in the comments section because I certainly don't know everything :)

I'm starting today with Alpha Lipoic Acid which was actually the reason behind the idea of this new blog series as it was something very new to me and I needed to do quite a bit of reading to get to know this ingredient.
