Blue Radiance Enzymatic Serum by Freshly Cosmetics - magic potion you need in your skincare routine

I don't think I will ever get tired of trying new beauty products, especially skincare. There's just something so exciting about discovering new brand and their products, reading all the claims, checking out the ingredients and hoping for amazing results. Not always every product might work for our skin but I still find the process very thrilling.
By the end of last year I came across brand Freshly Cosmetics thanks to Zarrine whom I follow on Instagram, and absolutely loved the sound of their Blue Radiance Serum, so when they had Black Friday discount code I bought it and have been using it all this time. The brand is cruelty free and produces natural products, without the addition of: parabens, mineral oils and silicones, sulphates, formaldehyde precursors, synthetic fragrances and dyes, aluminium salts and some other compounds that might not be the best for our skin.

The serum comes in a glass bottle with a dropper and its intense blue colour is given by Gardenia Blue extracted by fermentation of the fruit of Gardenia Jasminoides which not only works as a natural pigment but it's also rich in antioxidants which fight free radicals hence fighting signs of aging.
The texture of the serum is liquid-y and it sinks into the skin almost instantly making it feel hydrated and almost immediately perfected. It's a non-irritating, natural exfoliating treatment and it's gentle enough to be used every night.
It contains powerful active ingredients such as papaya and pomegranate enzymes (chemical exfoliators), lactococcus probiotics (stimulate skin cells renewal), Australian lime caviar (natural source of AHAs), black willow bark salicylates (natural source of BHA), plant-derived baicalin (natural alternative to retinol) and marine-derived vegan hyaluronic acid (hydrating).
Read here more in depth information about the main ingredients but speaking in general most of them work on gently exfoliating the skin, increasing skin cells renewal so they behave like younger skin cells, protecting the skin from free radicals and hydrating it. You can expect smoother, younger looking skin with less congestion/breakouts and more even tone.
You're supposed to use the serum at night as a last step in your skincare routine, after moisturising the skin.
My experience
If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that I like to call this serum the blue magic potion because it literally is one of the most effective products I've tried in recent months.
My skin is well accustomed to acid exfoliators and I've been also using retinol treatments so I wasn't expecting too much of a change in my skin's appearance after adding the Blue Radiance Enzymatic Serum to my skincare routine. But I was very pleasantly surprised as after regular use, (not every night though as I like to alternate my treatments), my skin has become so much smoother, brighter and more even, my pores look more refined and overall appearance of my complexion has improved.
Despite using all the skincare products my skin is very prone to congestion and I often get those under skin bumps, especially on my forehead, that only very few products have managed to reduce yet the Blue Serum has erased them almost completely within few weeks.
I've used the serum in different ways, as a last step in my routine as suggested but also after cleansing and toning or after another hydrating serum and never found it irritating. And I can vouch for its effectiveness, not only it helped to smooth out my skin but it helps keeping it well hydrated as well.
If you're looking for a gentle, non-irritating chemical exfoliant which also brings other benefits to your skin then I highly recommend checking out the Freshly Cosmetics offering!
I have just re-purchased it as I'm almost out of it and I certainly need it in my skincare routine :)
