Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation and Mattifying Setting Spray - review

I've been saying so many times, especially on my Instagram, that I buy much less beauty products these days, I really want to see the ones I already have in my stash being used up before they're way too old, but I also believe in treating yourself to something new every month or so to keep being excited about beauty. And as last month was my birthday I decided to order some bits from Too Faced as I just couldn't wait anymore for the latest Peach Perfect collection to land on UK websites.
I got the new foundation which I've heard great things about and the setting spray as I needed one.
The website had a free international shipping and 20% off at that moment so even with the taxes I didn't pay more then I would have if the products were available in UK, it took almost two weeks for my parcel to arrive though.
I've been testing these two products for the last couple of weeks and I thought I share with you my thoughts on them, especially as for a short moment they were already available on Debenhams website, so I hope the collection is coming back to it (apparently on the 14th May).

If you're not a fan of Too Faced girly and a bit garish packaging then you won't like the Peach collection but I don't mind it, it's fun. What is worth pointing out though it's the amount of product you get, 48ml of foundation which is much more then your standard 30ml bottles/tubes, making the product much better value for money. The tube comes with a pump which is perfect. There are 20 shades to choose from, from pale to darker tones, so most of us should find a match.
The formula is oil-free, infused with Peach Extract and Sweet Fig Milk for modern matte finish which is not drying and very natural looking. The consistency is on the thicker side but not overly so. The foundation claims to be long lasting and oil controlling.

I have to say I'm very impressed with this foundation, even though my skin is combination with  a bit oily t-zone, I don't get on well with very matte foundations, they just sit weirdly on my skin, especially on the cheeks when my skin is normal and often dehydrated, so finding one that will help controlling my oils but also blend seamlessly without looking cakey is not easy.
The Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation is absolutely brilliant at perfecting your skin, keeping it shine free while looking and feeling very natural on the skin.

I started using the foundation when I was battling a terrible cold and my face was full of dry patches around my nose yet this foundation didn't accentuated them at all. It doesn't sink in the pores, in fact it seems to blur them for smoother looking complexion.
The foundation blends seamlessly with any makeup tool you choose to use, my preferred method is beauty blender even though it soaks up a bit of product but gives the most natural finish on the skin.
The coverage is definitely more on the light to medium side which can be built up but its' definitely not a very full coverage foundation, especially for people who have lots of scaring or other skin's issues they like to cover up.
I've been wearing the foundation without any mattifying primer and I find it lasts very well throughout the day on my skin, I usually need to blot my t-zone around the 6 hour mark but the foundation doesn't break up nor slide off and look pretty good for 10 hours. I could probably even improve the wear time if I used a primer underneath which I just don't need with this foundation.

I chose shade Warm Nude is a touch too dark for my complexion but once blended into my neck it works just fine and I wanted something more suitable for Summer when I'm more likely to get a bit of tan.

Below I've included photos of my bare face and after applying the foundation so you can see how much coverage it provides and how it looks on the skin. I didn't use any filters or smoothing tools, only adjusted brightness and temperature of the photos so they look as accurate as possible.

As you can see, while I don't suffer with breakouts my skin is far from picture perfect, I have quite a lot of discoloration and some redness which all were evened out pretty well with one layer of foundation. My real skin is still peeking though which I like for that more natural makeup look but I could build up the coverage where needed if I wanted to. The finish of the foundation is definitely not flat matte, the skin looks very natural with a bit of luminosity to it.
I didn't notice the foundation changing colour (oxidising) throughout the day so that's always a plus.
In the third photo I've added concealer under my eyes and in the centre of my face for natural highlighting effect, set everything with powder and applied other makeup products to my cheeks, eyes and lips.
If you're wondering about the lipstick I'm wearing it's the new Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in shade 62 Antique Pink.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Spray, £27
Buy here: Too Faced, Sephora, Debenhams (UK)

Infused with Peach and Fig Extract this setting spray is one of the best smelling I've tried. As it's a mattifying mist it's not overly hydrating but I also don't find it drying unless I use too much of it, it does contains alcohol quite up on the ingredients list though.
You need to shake the bottle really well before spraying the mist onto your face to avoid white dots on the skin, probably the result of hydrogenated starch as one of the ingredients. I've not had issue with the powdery look on my face but what I am not happy about is that the pump is not working properly, once you press it you have to adjust it manually as the dispenser doesn't spring back as it should. And after reading reviews on Too Faced website it seems like  a common complaint so it's a shame.

As for the actual mist and how effective it is, I really like it. The mist is quite fine and it definitely locks the makeup in place for longer. I've tried it with some of my foundations that aren't the longest lasting and it definitely helped with their longevity and with my face staying shine free for a bit longer.
It's a nice setting spray which I will keep using but the faulty dispenser is really annoying so I wouldn't recommend buying it unless there's an evidence that the brand has improved the packaging.

If you're looking for a good setting and mattifying spray the CoverFX one (review) is really good.

Overall I'm loving the foundation, it's become one of my favourites for sure and I can highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a new base product. I think apart from people with very dry skin everyone will enjoy it if you don't need super full coverage foundation.
The setting mist is good but there are better on the market at this price point.

Have you tried anything from the Peach Perfect collection?
