Blossom Jeju Camellia Soombi Essence Oil - review, benefits of Camellia Oil for the skin

Ever since I tried the Blossom Jeju Sheet Masks with Camellia Oil (check out my k-beauty haul) I was hooked and love the effect of the oil it had on my skin. So when the team from Skinsider (UK online retailer for Korean skincare) sent me another products from Blossom Jeju range I was over the moon.
I've been using the Camellia Soombi Essence Oil for over two months and I'd like to share my thoughts on it with you all.

But before I start reviewing the product I'd like tell you a little bit about the Camellia Oil itself.
Camellia oil, or tsubaki oil, is made from winter-blooming flower which has been harvested for centuries by Asian women famed for their glowing skin and long, lustrous hair. The flower itself symbolizes feminine beauty and the oil from seeds makes a lightweight, deeply nourishing moisturiser.
The Oil  is rich in Oleic Acid and vitamins A, B, D and E as well as nourishing Omega 3, 6 and 9 which keep the skin deeply nourished, support natural collagen production, protect and repair the skin's protective barrier. The Camellia Oil has more naturally occurring antioxidants then almost any other botanically derived oil which means it protects the skin well from environmental damage like free radicals, UV rays and pollution.
Another important fact is that the molecular weight of the oil is an almost identical match for skin, allowing it to penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin and absorb quickly and thoroughly. It's a dry, lightweight oil, non comedogenic which makes it perfect even for oily and breakouts prone skin.

The Oil comes in a pretty glass bottle with a pipette, it's clear in appearance, quite runny and it has subtle floral scent which reminds me of Jasmine flowers. It's a dry oil so it doesn't feel greasy on the skin, it's very lightweight and it absorbs completely in a matter of few minutes.
I've been using it mostly at night time, some days as my last step in skincare routine or before a moisturiser or mixed in with it. I also have reached for it during the day when my skin feels particularly parched and dehydrated adding couple of drops to my daytime cream or a drop to my foundation.
The Essence Oil is a blend of natural oils such as Rosehip Seed, Camellia Seed, Olive Oil, and Meadowfoam Seed Oil which all nourish, hydrate and protect the skin.
I find the Camellia Soombi Essence Oil to be very soothing, hydrating and nourishing, it's been helping to smooth out my skin, lightening hyperpigmentation and speeds up healing any breakouts. Every time I use it after a few days break I'm amazed how plumped and healthy looking my skin is the next day.
If you're looking to update your skincare routine with a facial oil I highly recommend checking out the Blossom Jeju offering and their whole range as all their products contain the beautiful Camellia Oil.
