My Christmas gifts recommendations #3: for fragrance junkies

It's safe to say that perfumes are one of the most popular Christmas gifts, equally for women and men. I've been finding a bottle of a new scent under my Christmas tree for years and I'm always delighted with it, especially if it's one from my wish list. I am addicted to perfumes so getting me a bottle of something nice it's a safe bet too. There are thousands of fragrances to choose from and while it's an 'easy' gift it's also a tricky one because what smells nice to us might not be someone else's cup of tea. Fragrance is very personal so if you want to gift one to your loved one be sure to know what's on their wish list or what kind of scents they like.
Today I want to share with you 5 of my current favourite perfumes which would make beautiful Christmas gifts for the ladies in your life.
I'm not really good at describing scents so apologies in advance :) But I tried to help you understand them more by writing down all the top, heart and base notes of each of them.

Lancôme La Nuit Tresor

YSL Black Opium, eau de parfum from £39.90

Top notes: Pink Pepper, Orange Blossom, Pear
Heart notes: Coffee, Jasmine, Bitter Almond, Licorice
Base notes: Vanilla, Patchouli, Cedar, Cachmere Wood
This is one of my favourite Autumn/Winter scents, I just love the warm, spicy notes with a hint of coffee. It's not as heavy as the original Opium perfume but it still is more of an evening time scent although I like to wear it during the day as well. It's warm and cosy, makes me feel as if wrapped up in a cashmere jumper. Despite being the eau de parfum is not as long lasting on my skin as I expect this kind of scent to do but this slight disappointment doesn't make me love it any way less.
If you like heavier, spicier fragrances that aren't too sweet or too oriental then I think you would be fan of the Black Opium too.

Lancôme La Nuit Tresor, eau de parfum from £49

Top notes: Pear, Bergamot, Tangerine
Heart notes: Vanilla Orchid, Black Rose, Passionfruit, Strawberry
Base notes: Patchouli, Papyrus, Insence, Litchy, Praline, Vanilla, Caramel, Coffee, Coumarin, Licorice
This is a gorgeous gourmand fragrance, with fruity notes very noticeable at first spritz, then it develops to more complex, seductive composition of rose and orchid and settles down to sensual notes of patchouli and praline making it just delicious but not too sweet.
Definitely an evening fragrance for me but I can see myself wearing it during Christmas time even during the day. I can smell it on my skin for hours, one of the most long lasting perfume in my collection. And the bottle is so beautiful!

Michael Buble By Invitation, eau de parfum from £12.95

Michael Buble By Invitation perfume

Top notes: Red Fruits, Bergamot
Heart notes: Lilly of the Valley, Jasmine, Peony, Rose
Base notes: Sandalwood, Musk, Vanilla, Praline
This is a new addition to my collection but it has quickly become one of my favourite fragrances which I just want to stock up on before it gets discontinued. I'm not usually the biggest fan of celebrities fragrances but after seeing it being loved by many of my 30plus bloggers pals I've decided to get it while it was still on offer.
Firstly, the bottle is stunning, suspended in a gold bracelet, reminiscent of luxury jewellery, the pull-off cap design reminds of old fashioned classic fragrance atomisers.
The scent starts quite sharply which is a bit unique to my other perfumes, then you can clearly smell the flowers coming to play, jasmine, lilly of the valley, peony, all wrapped up in a warm and comforting veil of vanilla and praline with a musky notes lingering on my skin and clothes for many hours. What surprised me the most is how long lasting this fragrance is, I can still smell it on my skin 6-7 hours later. It's an elegant scent, perfect for day and night time and although you can wear it all year round I feel like it's made for those colder days.
Whether you're fan of Michael Buble or not but like floral fragrances with subtle sweetness to them then you should really try this scent!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, eau de parfum from £52
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume
Top notes: Bergamot, Tea, Osmanthus
Heart notes: Jasmine, African Orange Flower, Freesia, Rose, Orchid
Base notes: Musk, Patchouli
It took me a long time to finally purchase this gorgeous looking perfume but as soon as I got a sample of it I knew it will be my perfect Autumn/Winter scent.
It's not your typical floral fragrance, it has much more depth to it, warmth and a bit of spiciness. It's kind of sweet but not in a sickly way. It makes me feel feminine and sexy. It's not too heavy so great to wear from morning to night but definitely one for the colder months, at least for me.
It lasts very well on my skin, it lingers for hours and it gets me lots of compliments whenever I wear it.
One for young and older ladies who like their floral fragrances with a bit of sweetness.

Tiffany & Co*, eau de parfum from £52
Buy here: Debenhams, Tiffany & Co

Tiffany & Co perfume

Top notes: Mandarin Orange, Bergamot, Lemon
Heart notes: Iris, Blackcurrant, Peach, Rose
Base notes: Patchouli, Musk

Last but certainly not least, the latest addition to my perfume collection, is this stunning bottle of new fragrance by the American jewellery retailer known for its luxury goods, in particular diamonds and sterling silver jewellery. I think most of us, women, would like to find a little blue Tiffany box under the Christmas tree and while a piece of jewellery would be the dream, a bottle of beautiful fragrance wouldn't go amiss :)

The crystal bottle recalls the iconic Tiffany Lucida® and Tiffany Yellow Diamond cuts. Inside, the liquid with the slightest tint of blue illuminates the precise cuts of the bottle. The fragrance is presented in the signature Tiffany Blue Box®, an internationally recognised symbol of style and sophistication.

The fragrance is fresh, sparkling and subtly floral. Designed around the noble iris, a flower long associated with Tiffany as a recurring motif in its jewellery designs. I find the scent very feminine, elegant and chic. It's not laud with their notes, more of an intimate play with those who get closer to you. Despite the floral notes the fragrance is not overly floral and definitely not the kind of scent you associate with cheap eau de toilettes. It's modern and classy. It would suit women at different ages and can be used all year round, although to me it's more of a Spring/Summer and day time perfume.
It's not the longest lasting fragrance on my skin, although I still can detect some subtle musky notes 3-4 hrs later but my clothes still have a hint of the fragrance the next day.
If you like fresh, modern fragrances with a  classy, feminine side then I think you would love the Tiffany & Co perfume.

Are any of these perfumes amongst your favourites? What is your signature Autumn/Winter scent?
