My Christmas gifts recommendations, #2: for makeup junkies

Today I keep sharing my Christmas gifts recommendations, this time focusing on makeup (check out my skincare gifts). Again I've picked just five sets to talk about, products I have bought for myself and I've been enjoying using. Either you'd like to treat yourself to something new this festive season or you want to buy for your beauty obsessed friend/family member I have some great ideas for you. And it's now the perfect time to shop with all the Black Friday deals appearing daily.
Christmas gift sets

Jaclyn Hill x Morphe eyeshadow palette, £37
Buy here: BeautyBay, Morphe UK
Being a makeup junkie means there's never enough of anything in our makeup collection, eyeshadow palettes included, and I personally had received many of them as gifts over the years and was always over the moon. What's better then new eyeshadows set and some extra free time to experiment with makeup? :)
I've not been buying as many eyeshadow palettes as I used to as I am quite overwhelmed with what I have already but still added a few to my collection this year and one that just stood out to me the most and took a spot of my current favourite eyeshadow palette is the Jaclyn Hill collaboration with Morphe.
I have talked about it in this post and shared some eye looks created with it so I won't go into much detail now but in short I am obsessed with it. It might not be the best palette out there but it's definitely better quality then other Morphe eyeshadow palettes I own and, in my opinion, right up there with Too Faced or Zoeva eyeshadows which are some of my most favourites.
If the large size of this palette doesn't appeal to you Modern Renaissance palette (post with 3 eye makeup looks) or any Zoeva palette (my collection with swatches), which are currently on offer on Beauty Bay, would make amazing gifts as well.
Stila 'Written In The Stars' Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Set, £25
Buy here: Stila UK, Cult Beauty, M&S

Stila Written In The Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Set

Stila Written In The Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Set
From top: Diamond Dust (a sheer silver with multi-hued glitter), Kitten Karma (champagne with silvery copper glitter) and Smoky Storm (light pewter with silver glitter)
I had wanted one of these glittery liquid eyeshadows since they launched earlier this year but spending £23 on one shade knowing I won't wear it very often wasn't very wise so I held off, but when Stila brought out their Christmas sets containing three shades for a price of one full size I did what I do best, treated myself to it, haha!
They're really beautiful, sparkly, glittery and perfect for the festive season. I've seen many people getting this set and I'm not surprised as it's a great way to try out Stila glitters without breaking the bank.
The eyeshadows apply smoothly to the eyes with the included doe foot applicator and once are set they stay put for many hours, I have experience just very minimal glitter fallout, and there's no fuss of glitter flying everywhere and no need for special glue, win-win!

From top: Passionate, Captivating, Loving, Romantic, Adoring, Charming
Another product from my wish list has been ticked off :) I've heard people talking about theBalm liquid lipsticks for years and I finally have gotten around to trying them out. 6 minis which are perfect to not only try the formula but also experiment with different shades. I can confirm these are one of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks which dry down matte and are long lasting but don't look dry and creepy on the lips. Perfect set for any lipstick lover.
Another ones that I can recommend are those by Stila, I bought some of them in previous years and still have them.
Makeup Essentials by FeelUnique, £25, currently on offer £17.50
Buy here: Feel Unique

Makeup Essentials by FeelUnique
If one of your favourite pastime is not browsing beauty sites are you even a beauty blogger? Haha!
Anyway, I was doing just that one evening and came across some pretty Christmas sets created by FeelUnique and guess what, one of them landed in my shopping basket ;)
The little set, housed in a super cute Christmas cracker-like box, contains:
- Nude by Nature Perfecting Primer, 15ml
- Odylique Organic Eye Liner Black, full size
- BY TERRY Mini Mascara Terrybly Growth Booster Mascara, 4g
- Revlon Ultra HD Lip Colour in Desert, full size
- Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, 3.5g
I've tried all the products from this set and I am loving them, especially the Nude by Nature primer which is nicely hydrating and helps the makeup to stay in place, the LM powder is one of my favourites which I've finished recently so I'm happy to have a mini size of it back in my routine, the Revlon lipstick is very pretty and perfect for Winter with its super hydrating formula, the mascara is such a nice treat and it works well for me, and a black eye kohl is always welcomed to any makeup lover collection.
Perfect little set as a stocking filler, Secret Santa gift or just a Christmas gift on a smaller budget.
Charlotte Tilbury's Beauty Icons Gift Set, £55
Charlotte Tilbury's Beauty Icons Gift Set
As you can tell, I've been very generous to myself in the last month or so, LOL!
This is part of my actual Christmas gift but I am a very impatient person so couldn't wait for Christmas with opening it and actually using everything.
Limited edition curated selection of Charlotte Tilbury best selling products, beautifully presented in a gorgeous box, it contains:
- Mini Magic Cream, 15ml
- Mini Full Fat Lashes, 3ml
- Mini Wonderglow, 15ml
- Mini K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink, 1g
- Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk, full size
I am very excited to finally have the ever so famous Pillow Talk lip liner and now I understand the hype as it is a gorgeous shade and a lovely formula. I love using the Wonder Glow primer, enjoy the mascara and I'm looking forward to testing out the Magic Cream, I've only used it once so far so can't comment on its skincare benefits but it did make a nice makeup primer. I wish the lipstick wasn't as tiny as it is but I hardly can manage to finish a full size lipstick nowadays so the mini should be enough for me and it is adorable.
To be honest any of the Charlotte Tilbury sets will make perfect Christmas gifts as they're such luxurious treats. Keep an eye on the brands' website as they've started already their daily Black Friday deals :)
(If you wish to use my referral link you can get £15 off your first Charlotte Tilbury order over £49
Are any of these makeup sets on your Christmas wish list? What's on it? Tempt me with your ideas :)
