Latest beauty favourites

Not every month I have a handful of well loved, new products to share with you but April, my birthday month, brought me some new things to play with (check my birthday haul) which have quickly become some of my favourites, so here I am today talking about my latest most loved products. It was very hard to narrow them down as I've been trying quite a few skincare and makeup products and most of them have impressed me (keep an eye on my Thursday post when I will be sharing my new skincare routine) but at the end I've made the picks.
April beauty favourites

This duo of chemical and mechanical exfoliators is not new to me, it had been neglected a bit after the initial testing though but recently I've came back to it and I really love how effective it is at getting rid of dead skin cells, dry patches and leaving my skin smoother and brighter.
The AHA serum formulated with highly effective blend of glycolic, lactic, citric and malic acids, gently works its magic all night to dissolve the “glue” which holds the top layer of dry, dead, dull skin cells on the surface of the skin which make the complexion look uneven and dull.
In the morning, I use the microdermabrasion polish, formulated with dermatological grade alumina oxide fine-edged micro crystals, which lifts up and mechanically exfoliates clinging surface debris and dead cells that have been loosened overnight by the AHA Serum.
I use the treatment once a week and just maintain the healthy look of my skin by using daily some milder chemical exfoliators, like Pixi Glow Tonic or Nib+Fab Glycolic Fix Pads.

Gold Collagen Hydrogel Mask
Gold Collagen Hydrogel Mask
I have to be honest and say that I'm not a big fan of sheet face masks, I've tried a few and while I did enjoy them I just don't like the actual fuss with the sheet which usually doesn't fit my face properly and annoyingly slips around. But I'm always eager to try new things so when I was offered to try the Gold Collagen Hydrogel Mask I agreed with an excitement.
The mask has been formulated with a unique second skin technology, that perfectly fits facial contours. It comes with two pieces, upper and lower face part, and it does fit much better then any other sheet face masks I've tried, it also adheres to the skin much more efficiently making it easy to keep it on for the recommended 20-40 minutes.
Upon contact with the skin the mask provides an immediate cooling effect. Once it reaches body temperature the mask melts and releases moisturising and regenerating active ingredients into the skin, supporting the skin's natural renewal process for a fresh and healthy glow.
Formulated with antioxidant-rich Pearl Extract and infused with Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerine this pre-soaked sheet mask supports skin’s moisture retention, helping to leave it looking plump and moisturised. A powerful blend of botanical antioxidants including Red Algae and Tea Tree leave the skin feeling fresh and hydrated, and all without the addition of any nasties such as parabens, phthalates and sulphates.
The face mask leaves my skin super plumped and soft, soothed and visibly much more hydrated. It works amazingly well as a pre-makeup pamper, my foundation applies and looks so much better after I used this mask. And the effect lasts a couple of days as well so it's a perfect weekly treatment. I've been loving using it after the deep exfoliation done with Time Bomb Peel and my skin is left smooth, soft and supple. Highly recommend the face mask for anyone but especially for people with drier and/or mature skin types and those battling dehydration.
I have already purchase a new 4-pack.
I've recently reviewed this foundation so I won't be repeating myself but I had to mention it again because it's my 'go to' foundation as it looks very natural on my skin, gives me enough coverage for everyday makeup and it truly lasts all day without moving around or making my skin oily. I'm very impressed with this foundation!

Laura Mercier Illuminating Powder in Candlelight

Laura Mercier Illuminating Powder in Candlelight
If you've seen my birthday haul then you should remember I got a set of Laura Mercier powders and while I really enjoy using them all this Illuminating Powder has impressed me the most, probably because I wasn't expecting to even like it. It's a super finely milled formula which adds beautiful luminosity to the skin without being shimmery. The swatch above is quite heavy to show you the shade of this illuminator, very subtle rose gold, but you can lightly dust the powder all over your face for a 'glow from within' look or layer it on the tops of the cheeks for that highlighting effect. I've been doing the latter and I absolutely love how it looks on my skin, it catches the light beautifully without being too shimmery or accentuating imperfections like fine lines and large pores.

Tarte the lip sculptor lipstick & lipgloss in shade Kind

Tarte the lip sculptor lipstick & lipgloss in shade Kind
I recently bought a Tarte Maneater set from QVC website (check my photos on Instagram) which I have, very quickly, become obsessed with, especially with the lipstick (you can buy it separately) and the eyeshadow palette (limited edition) and just had to talk about them.
The lipstick is dual ended with lip gloss on one side and creamy lipstick on the other. I don't care much for the gloss, simply because I'm not a big fan of glosses although I can confirm that the Tarte offering is quite nice without being sticky, but I LOVE the lipstick. It's very pigmented and lusciously creamy, yet it lasts a long time on the lips, even with some eating and drinking, it doesn't bleed outside the lip line and it feels very hydrating. The shade Kind is a beautiful deep rosy nude which goes with so many makeup looks.

Tarte Maneater palette

Tarte Maneater palette
The Maneater palette is not available separately anymore unfortunately, but Tarte has currently in their offer very similar palette called Don't Quit Your Day Dream , £25 (by the time of this post going live Tarte is offering free international shipping!) if you fancy to treat yourself :)
What I love about the Maneater palette is how compact it is yet it contains the perfect shade selection to create multiple eye looks without the need to reach for another palette. The eyshadows themselves are very well pigmented, silky smooth, they blend like a dream and lasts all day on my eye lids without creasing, I always use some eye primer though, usually a bit of concealer set with a dusting of powder. I've been using it most days since I got it.

L'oreal nail polish shade 220
Recently I've been obsessed with this pale pink nail polish which looks elegant on the nails, goes with any outfit and works perfectly well in any situation, work or night out. The formula of these nail polishes is very nice too, they last about 3 days on my nails without chipping which may seem not impressive but there are very few nail polishes that last longer then that on my nails. The nail polish also has one of those wide brushes which makes the application a breeze. And on top of that the packaging looks very pretty :)

Givenchy Live Irresistible perfume
I have a few fragrances that I like to use at this time of year but I've been reaching mostly for this Givenchy perfume which I won in Escentual competition a few weeks ago.
Givenchy Live Irresistible Délicieuse opens with a signature Madeleine cake accord, with touches of cherry, vanilla and caramel. In the heart, a combination of rose and orange blossom bring an ultra-feminine character, before a dry down of sensual tonka bean enwraps the body in seductive warmth.
After reading the scent description I was expecting quite sweet smelling fragrance which I'm not the biggest fan of, in general, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The sweet notes are very subtle and the scent is quite floral without being powdery or heavy, it feels quite fresh and playful, very Spring/Summer appropriate. It also lasts very well on my skin. And how beautiful is the bottle?!
So these are my most loved products of the last few weeks. Have you tried any of them?
What beauty products have you been loving lately?
