Makeup tutorial: turquoise eye look using Makeup Geek eyeshadows

Although I've been on my Summer holidays this year already (check our holiday snippets) the Summer in UK is just starting and we've been blessed with gorgeous sunny weather lately so I was in a mood to create some makeup looks that are very Summery in my opinion. I reached for colours which make me think of days on the beach, ocean and mermaids :) And another, simple reason for this eye look is that a while ago I bought some stunning turquoise shades from Makeup Geek and I couldn't wait to put them on my eyes!

Primer: Rimmel Stay Matte, it really is excellent at keeping my skin shine free, perfect for warmer days when I get a bit oilier.
Foundation: L'Oreal True Match in shade W3 Golden Beige, since coming back from my holidays most of my foundations are too light for me so I reached for this L'Oreal offering which was my shade last Summer, I really like this foundation, it offers medium, buildable coverage and it looks natural on my skin.
Concealer: Bourjois Radiance Reveal in Ivory to brighten the under eye area.
Powder: to set the concealer and foundation I used mix of Hourglass Dim and Diffused Light Ambient Powders.
Bronzer & highlighter: W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow kit, I've been obsessed with this duo and use it every day!
Blush: Hourglass Ambient Luminous Flush.

Primer: Freedom Eye Primer.
Eyeshadows: Makeup Geek: Peach Smoothie, Tuscan Sun, Shark Bait, Pegasus, Envy, White Lies, sparkler in Solstice.
Eye pencil: Makeup Geek Full Spectrum Eye Liner in Mint.
Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious in Black.
False lashes: Ardell Demi Wispies.
Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wizz in Soft Brown.

1 - after priming my eyes I dusted Peach Smoothie in the crease and above as a transition shade to help with future blending.
2 - I blended Tuscan Sun in the crease and slightly above from the inner to the outer corner to add some warmth to the look.
3 - I applied Shark Bait on my mobile lid focusing in the outer corner and crease.
4 - using flat synthetic brush I applied Pegasus (foiled shadow) to the inner 2/3 of my lid.
5 - I darkened the outer corner using shade Envy which I also used to line my upper lashes.
6 - I smoked out Envy on my lower lash line which I then blended out with Tuscan Sun, after that I applied eye pencil on my waterline.
7 - using dampened pencil brush I applied the glitter Solstice in my inner corner and finished off the eye look with mascara, false lashes and filling in my brows. I highlighted my brow bone with shadow White Lies.

With such bold eyes I wanted keep the lips fairly neutral but with a coral tone to them so I dabbed with my finger a bit of Freedom Pro Melts Lipgloss in Masterpiece for some subtle colour.

And this is the finished look :)

Hope you enjoyed this makeup look and maybe got inspired to create something similar for a night out during the weekend or your holidays :)
Is turquoise a colour you reach for during Summer or do you stay clear from it all year round?

Have a great weekend all!
