Spring Sunset inspired makeup look, collab with Rachel

I'm back today with new makeup look inspired by nature and this time it's a special post because it's an another collab (check our previous collaboration) with Rachel, the woman behind Rachel Shuchat Makeup blog who is a makeup artist and apart from reviewing beauty products, she shares gorgeous makeup looks on her blog.
We decided to team up again and create a makeup look inspired by the same picture. Rachel has chosen this stunning photo of Spring Sunset and here we are, sharing our makeup looks created with it in our minds.

Sunset inspired makeup look

As soon as I saw the picture I knew immediately what kind of eye look I will create and it was just a matter of choosing the right colours. After spending a good amount of time trawling through my eyeshadow palettes I found the perfect shades in a few of my Sleek palettes, honestly, if you like playing with makeup and experimenting with colours you should definitely get some of them as they're great quality for the price and come with some amazing shades!

Makeup products for Sunset inspired makeup look

Primer - as a primer I used a thin layer of the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in Light Beige cause it's slightly to light for me to use it on its own and I wanted a higher coverage which my foundation wouldn't provide so the combination seemed perfect.
Foundation - Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Water Foundation in Light Sand, although I was in love with this foundation at first now I seem to have love-hate relationship with it, stay tuned for a review if you're interested in purchasing it.
Concealer - Nyx HD Concealer in Light, this shade has peachy undertones so it's great at correcting any under eye darkness.
Powder - Nyx HD Finishing Powder in Banana shade.
Bronzer - Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette, shade Lo Fi.
Blush - from the same UD palette, shades Cherry and Easy mixed together and to highlight I used the shade Angel.

Primer/base - to make the dark eyeshadow stands out more I used Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Deep Plum as a base.
Eyeshadows - Sleek palettes: Del Mar, Del Mar Vol. II (review) and Enchanted Forest (review).
Eyeliner - Kat Von D Ink Liner in Trooper.
Mascara - L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Feline.
False Lashes - Ardell Demi Wispies.
Brows - Maybelline Master Brow Pro Palette in Soft Brown.

Sleek eyeshadow palettes
Yellow shade as a transition in and above the crease, orange shade in the crease, the purple navy all over the lid and the matte aubergine shade to blend out the crease even further, the sparkling baby blue in the inner corner.

With such bold eyes it's better to balance them out with softer nude lips, I chose Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity, beautiful peachy nude.

And this is the finished look :)

I am well aware of how colourful and bold the eye makeup is and while this kind of 'inspired by nature' looks don't have to be really wearable, I actually really loved how this turned out and I would totally wear it for a night out, especially during Summer :)
I hope you enjoyed this post and don't forget to check Rachel's blog to see how she created her look!

Have a great weekend everyone!
