Recent empties: skincare

I haven't done an 'empties' post for absolutely ages but thinking that many people like to read about products that were actually finished and thoroughly tested I decided to start this series on my blog again. I've been trying to do Instagram updates on my finished products with the hash tag #instaempties but to be honest I don't really keep up with it. And having finished a good number of skincare which started to clutter my bathroom I wanted to share with you my quick thoughts on them before I toss them into the trash bin.

Empties skincare

Empties cleansers
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - this is for me the best makeup remover, it does the job perfectly without irritating or drying my skin and it's very cheap, I repurchased it countless amount of times.
Will I repurchase it? Absolutely! In fact I always have a back up.
Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Cleansing Cloths* - I've never been a fan of cleansing wipes and only buy them to keep them on my vanity to remove any fallout from eyeshadows or swatches from my hand. I have to say that these Ole Henriksen wipes, which I received with some other products, are lovely, they smell amazing, almost delicious and remove makeup fairly easily They were great to refresh my face during the day when I didn't wear makeup, like on the beach but, in general, I'm still not a fan of this cleansing method.
Will I repurchase it? No! No point in spending £12 on wipes if I only use them to remove the swatches from my hand.
OCEANE White Pearl Facial Cleanser* - I reviewed it in depth here, it was a lovely cleanser, very mild for the skin but effective at removing makeup and dirt and it smelled delicious.
Will I repurchase it? No. It's way to expensive for what it is and quite difficult to get my hands on it.
Toners, treatments.
Mario Badescu Facila Spray
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water - I bought this tonner/facial mist a few months ago when I was struggling with dehydrated, flaky skin and straight after a few uses I was amazed how fantastic this product is. Very soothing, hydrating and it has a lovely delicate scent. It hydrates my skin almost like a light moisturiser, leaving it soft and glowing.
Will I repurchase it? YES!! I am testing Caudalie facial spray at the minute which is supposed to be also soothing and hydrating but I don't think is as good as this one, so as soon as I'm done with it I will be buying the Mario Badescu once again.
Ole Henriksen Lemon Strip Flash Peel* - fantastic chemical exfoliator, I talked about it here, because it contains a high percentage of Glycolic Acid is very effective at removing dead cells and resurfacing the skin but it might also feel a bit too strong for some with sensitive skin. For me it worked amazingly well, I loved how smooth and bright my skin was after using it.
Will I repurchase it? I'm sure I will! I just need to finish off some of my other exfoliating products.
Serums, moisturisers.
Ole Henriksen Three Little Wonders
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster* - one of the products that I received as a part of the Ole Henriksen skincare regime, I absolutely loved it and I am truly missing it in my morning routine. It's very hydrating and brightening and it smells amazing! You can read my full review and see results after using it here.
Will I repurchase it? YES! I am trying to be good and finish products which I already have in my stash but as soon as I need new morning serum I will buy this product.
Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment* - another product that it was part of my Ole Henriksen routine and definitely one that was making a bit of a magic on my skin. I love how it helped to dramatically improve my skin's appearance. It contains AHA and Glycolic Acid so it's great at exfoliating, smoothing and evening out the skin tone.
Will I repurchase it? Absolutely! Because I am a beauty junkie and I want to try lots of different products I bought recently Vichy treatment which seems to be working in a similar way but after using it for almost 3 weeks I'm not sure it can compare to the Ole Henriksen one.
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation moisturiser* - I really liked it as a part of my routine (review here), it was a lovely lightweight moisturiser which was keeping my skin soft and hydrated while working on evening my skin tone and texture.
Will I repurchase it? Maybe in the future. While I liked it I don't think it was nourishing enough for my more mature skin and sometimes it was leaving my skin feeling a bit tight, so during Autumn/Winter, when my skin gets usually dehydrated, I don't think it would be the best option.
La Roche-Posay Hydreane Moisturising Cream - lovely lightweight but very hydrating cream, I bought it last Winter when my skin was suffering from dehydration and it worked amazingly well at soothing it and hydrating without leaving it greasy or overloaded. I reached for it every time I felt like my skin needed some extra hydration or was irritated. Great, simple but effective moisturiser, perfect under the makeup.
Will I repurchase it? Yes. I want to have it in my stash for all those days when nothing is working and my skin is playing up funny games, is irritated or feels tight and uncomfortable.
Have you used any of these products? Did you like them?
