October beauty favourites

How is November already?? Seriously, the older I get the faster the time passes. But on the positive note, now the Halloween is over it's totally acceptable to think, talk about Christmas and start gift shopping. I've already treated myself to some new Holidays gift sets and I can see myself getting some more even before Santa has the chance to look at my Christmas wish list :) Anyway, today I want to share with you my recent beauty favourites so let's start before I rumble on too much. As a beauty junkie/fanatic I try many new things every month, some I love, others I don't like and there are few that are real stand outs which I would buy all over again. And these are the products I will be talking about in this post.

October beauty favourites

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water, 236ml (£15) - firstly, apologies for photographing an empty bottle as I've just finished this tonner but had to share it with you anyway. If you're looking for a deeply hydrating, refreshing and soothing facial spray you must try this, I absolutely love it. I used it for 3 months or so and it's one of the best facial sprays I've tried. I use it as my tonner, morning and evening, and it leaves my skin supple and hydrated, almost as if I used a light moisturiser. It has a very subtle, pleasant rose scent, nothing too strong so it shouldn't bother those with sensitive noses :) And it's a great value for money too.
Freedom Makeup Pro Studio Priming Water, 100ml (£6) - I talked about this makeup spray here so I won't be repeating myself but in short, I really like using this mist before applying my foundation as it boosts my skin's hydration and helps the foundation to apply and look better. Highly recommend it, especially to those with dry, dehydrated skin.
Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel, 50ml (£19.50) - I have only a sample of it which I received with my latest purchase, this is a fantastic exfoliator with Glycolic Acid and Pomegranate Enzymes which gently but effectively removes dead cells and leaves my skin much smoother and brighter but not tight or dry. I really like this, it's a great alternative to the Lemon Peel by Ole Henriksen which I love but sadly have finished already, so will definitely be buying a full size of it.
Jimmy Choo perfume

With the seasons changing I also like to switch my fragrances to more warm, sensual notes and one of my favourites for this time of year is the Jimmy Choo original perfume, I've loved it for  a few years and come back to it every Autumn. It's warm, sensual with a bit of spiciness to it and goes perfectly with cosy jumpers or an evening outfit. And the bottle looks beautiful as well :)
I've been on the hunt for my new perfect base products and I think I have found them!
Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Instant Perfecting Power Primer, 30ml (£10) - I just recently reviewed it (here) so you know I love it, it's a great primer to help with my shiny T-Zone, to make my makeup look good for longer and without the dreaded very silicon-y feel to it.
Bourjois Air Matt, 30ml (£9.99) - I have the shade 03 Light Beige and it's the perfect match for my skin tone, it provides good medium-full coverage but it feels very lightweight on the skin, I didn't noticed it clings to any dry patches, it's easily buildable and, despite the name, it doesn't look flat matte but very natural on the skin. I found it lasts easily 10 hours on my combination skin without getting patchy or disappearing. I do need to blot my T-Zone during this time but only once or twice so far if I didn't used a mattifying primer underneath. It's a fantastic drugstore foundation, the only disadvantage will be the shades selection and, as usual with Bourjois, they're all quite yellow toned but if you can find your match I highly recommend you check it out!
Stila Trust in Love palette
Stila Trust in Love palette (£30) - I have a ridiculous amount of eyeshadow palettes (and I'm not even ashamed to admit that, lol) but ever since I got this set I have been reaching for this palette nearly every day, it has beautiful selection of shades and I'm absolutely obsessed with Golden Topaz, check my review and swatches. I also love the Huge Extreme Lash Mascara which came in the set.
I love to change the colour of my nails on weekly basis but one shade that I've been loving more then others this past month is the Essie Island Hopping nails polish, gorgeous mauve dusty pink, elegant but still a bit more fun then your usual nude shade, perfect for any occasion, day or night and it's gorgeous for Autumn. If you happen to have and love Nars Audacious Lipstick in Anna, this is like its equivalent in nail polish form.

Essie Island Hopping

I have been growing quite a collection of lipsticks in the last few months and try to use a different one every day but there were two shades that I have been reaching for quite often:
Mac 'Brave' - beautiful pink-y nude with slight mauve undertones, it has a satin finish so it feels very comfortable on the lips while having a good staying power, love it!
Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in 'Keep It Classy' - gorgeous deep berry pink, perfect Autumn shade without being too vampy. The formula is fantastic, it feels quite moisturising on the lips but it lasts 4-5 hours before I need to touch it up. If you still haven't tried these lip pencils you're really missing out!
Mac Brave

So these are my recent beauty favourites, have you tried anything from my selection? Which products have you been loving lately?
