Today I have another makeup look to share with you and it's a one for the brave ones :)
Every time I reach for the Makeup Revolution 'Eyes like Angels' palette I'm drawn to this bright blue shade but always choose something different to wear on my eyes but this time I decided to use it and made it the main focus of my eye makeup.
It's an intense blue colour with pearl shine to it, very Summery and just beautiful.
To tone it down a bit and add warmth to my eyes I used warm brown shades for my crease from the Too Faced 'Chocolate Bar' palette and really liked the result. Admittedly, it's not a makeup look I'd wear during the day but I think it's a fun look for a night/evening out :)
As I mentioned already I used shades from two palettes as the Makeup Revolution one doesn't have matte shades that I wanted to use with the electric blue colour and the Too Faced palette offers gorgeous matte brown eyeshadows which complemented the look perfectly.
Salted Caramel - in the crease and above as a transition shade.
Semi-Sweet - in the crease to define the eye shape.
Aqua Dream - all over the lid.
Black Stars - in the outer corner of the lid blended well in to the outer part of the crease.
White Light - in the inner corner of the eye and very lightly under the brows, mixed with matte cream colour from the Too Faced palette.
Green Dream - I don't know why this shade is called green but nevertheless it's a beautiful navy shade which I used on my lower lid.
Brows: Rimmel eyebrow pencil in Hazelnut and L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Medium/Dark
Lashes: Benefit Roller Lash mascara and Ardell Demi Wispies false lashes.
Eyeliners: L'Oreal Superliner in Intense Black, Rimmel Scandaleyes pencil in Black to line my lower lash line and Nude for waterline.
Face
Primer: Laura Geller Spackle Under Makeup Primer.
Foundation: MaxFactor FaceFinity All Day Flawless foundation in 55 Beige, I had this for a while and decided to use it again and now I remember why I stopped using it in the first place, it's a good foundation but not great and it doesn't last on me that well.
Concealer: Maybelline Better Skin concealer in Light.
Powder: L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder in Light to set everything in place.
Bronzer: elf Baked Bronzer to add a bit of warmth to my face.
Blush: Sephora blush in #10 Romantic Rose which is a gorgeous peachy pink colour.
Highlighter: as usual for subtle highlight the gorgeous Makeup Revolution Radiant Light in Breath.
Lips: I wanted something nude but more on the peachy pink side so I mixed two lipsticks together, both Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lip Cover in Just Peachy and Think Pink.
And that's the finished look :)
What do you think of this makeup look? Is it something you'd wear or you rather stay clear from blue eyeshadows?
I personally like it and I think it would look gorgeous on those of you with brown eyes :)

Wow that is a stunning colour and would be perfect for a summer evening out, love the fact that it matches your ear rings too :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I could pull it off as sometime blue makes me look a bit like a budgie but I might give it a go and see how it looks.
Pams Stuff and Things
Oh wow you look gorgeous- it's such a bold colour I am not sure I would be able to pull it off like you do ☺

Such a beautiful eye look, the blue is stunning.
ReplyDeleteHayley @ Tea Party Beauty
Gorgeous eye look Dagmara! Blue can be such a tricky eye colour to get right but you have nailed it :) Yes, it's not an everday look for me personally but definitely for a night out, it would be fab xx

Wow so dramatic! Love the lashes.
ReplyDeleteErin | Erin and Katherine Talk Beauty
This is beautiful! I think the lashes make this look more wearable because it hides some of the bright blue. Love it!

I have brown eyes and stay away from blue eyeshadows as they are probably the scariest shades for me. You've made it work by combing it with the brown in the crease and it really suits you. I am trying to experiment with colours more though and so far I have only worn blue shades as eyeliners (using MAC Fix+) x
ReplyDeleteBeauty with charm
This would be cool for a night out! Tell me more about the Laura Geller primer! xx
ReplyDeleteOh Dagmara, you never cease to amaze me with how amazing your eyeshadow skill is, so much respect from you. I would never ever managed to pull this blue off but gosh, it looks lovely on you.

Thank you Jordan! You're so kind! x
ReplyDeleteThank you! Try to play with your eye makeup when you know you won't be going out so even if you don't like the result it won't be a big deal. Purple and green colours look gorgeous on hazel eyes and are not 'out there' like blue :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you Shireen! I'm not sure if I'm that skilled, I've been practising for the last 15 years, haha! I'm sure you'd look stunning with a bit of colour on your eyes, you just need to start experimenting :) x
ReplyDeleteI really like it, it's not too heavy silicon-y, but does smooth my skin out really nicely, feels somewhat hydrating and it's one of the very few primers that actually extend the longevity of my foundation :) x
ReplyDeleteWearing bold shades like the blue as eye liners is a great way of incorporating colour in to the eye makeup :) I've been recently wearing teal liners on a daily basis :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you! And you're absolutely right that false lashes make this kind of looks more wearable :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks hun! Yeah, I think it's great to play with makeup for a night out when we're still young and can do it :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you Hayley! It is gorgeous blue! x

This is really pretty! I'm usually scared of blue (or most bright colors), but this looks awesome! I totally want to put on my big girl pants and rock this look!
ReplyDeleteI love that you wear bold colors! So many people shy away from shades like these. I love the blue with the pink lips. Very 1960's. :)

Blue is everywhere at the moment. It's perfect for spring and summer. This electric blue look suits you very well. I tend to prefer aqua shades to electric blue ones (I feel they compliment better my eyes' colours better) however I love to wear blue as a pop of colour, in my inner corners or on my lower lash line. xx
ReplyDeleteAlexandra | Glam O’Clock - MAKEUP REVOLUTION GIVEAWAY
That's the perfect way of wearing a bit of colour without going overboard like I did here :) But sometimes it's fun to get a bit crazy :) x
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely! x
