Hello!
I'm back with another eyeshadow palette to share with you my opinion on it and swatches. Is there any therapy groups for eyeshadow palettes addicts because I'm definitely one of them, haha! I can't help but to collect as many as I possibly can afford. So Makeup Revolution is definitely the dangerous brand for me as their eye shadows are good quality, very affordable and they bring a new palette every couple of weeks!
Beyond Flawless palette is one of their latest addition, it contains 32 eye shadows and costs £8, that's a bargain!
It comes in a golden box that makes it look like a more expensive product than it actually is. The actual packaging is a classic black plastic, sleek case with secure closure and a big mirror inside.
All the shades have names which are printed on a plastic sheet. It's a palette full of neutrals with different finishes from matte, through satin to shimmery/metallic. If you've tried Makeup Revolution eye shadows you know that they are soft, easy to blend, well pigmented and they last long on the lids.
Beyond Flawless palette has 32 shades that, if you look closely, you noticed, they are grouped within colour family in columns, from the lightest shade to the darkest. So that's how I also swatched them (all swatches are done without a primer).
First and second column.
First column is the least impressive, but there are some nice highlighting and blending shades, they're all soft but not very pigmented.
Second column is full of beautiful shimmers with great pigmentation.
Third and fourth column.
Here we have some nice pinks and peach shades, they're all soft and nicely pigmented. Spice- mauve-y pink with satin finish is my favourite.
Fifth and sixth column.
The fifth column has some matte shades which are not overly pigmented and need building up to get the desire intensity but they're still nice and soft. The sixth column has gorgeous shimmers with amazing pigmentation. Wholemeal, Cookie Dough and Sepia are my favourite from this bunch.
Seventh and eighth column.
The last two columns contain great shimmery/satin shades apart from the two darkest: Nightfall and Blackest which are not very pigmented and swatch a bit patchy but they do perform well on the eyes.
Overall I think it's a good palette for any neutrals lover or someone who just starts the makeup journey and wants some easy shades to wear, as in this palette you have plenty of them and they all go nicely together so you don't have to think what to pair with to achieve a nice eye look. The quality is great, especially for the price. The matte shades aren't very pigmented but they're buildable and they're not chalky at all like you might have experienced with some other matte eye shadows.
My only kind of a negative thought about this palette is that there are so many similar shades, it seems like half of them are the less pigmented version of the next one. As much as I wanted to be impressed by this palette I, unfortunately, wasn't. There are some beautiful shades but as a whole the palette didn't excite me much. Or maybe I own way too many palettes to fully appreciate this one ;)
What's your opinion on this palette? Have you bought any of the new Makeup Revolution palettes?

I bought the eyes like angels palette which I really like! Love that I can try a bunch of beautiful colourful shades without spending a fortune :) some of the shades don't have a lot of pigment but most are great :)
ReplyDeleteThe shades are so beautiful!

The second column is stunning but I can see what you mean and I guess that is the problem of having such a big palette but for the price it's not too bad and I will pass on the number for the eye shadow anonymous group :P

Some shades look amazing but half the number and better shadows would have been a great bargain too! ;) xx

Agree! There are too many eye shadows that look so similar to each other. x
ReplyDeleteThere are certainly some beautiful shades! x
ReplyDeleteYes, please, I need a therapy! lol xx
ReplyDeleteThere are some very pretty shades! x
ReplyDeleteI have the Eyes Like Angels palette as well and I think I prefer it from the new Beyond Flawless, as it's just more interesting with all the different colours. x
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that some of the colours are so similar - seems like amazing value though!

I love your new layout! And it's great you got Disqus to work for you :)
ReplyDeleteI have similar feelings on this palette, there's nothing especially wrong with it, it's a nice palette, it's just not setting my world on fire xx

Your swatches are fantastic - there were a lot of shades to get through! To be honest, huuuge palettes don't impress me that much, I'd rather just have 12 varied shades. Sometimes too much choice can kill me!

I'm never excited about getting huge palettes like these, even though I'm also a palette junkie like you haha. I don't really like the idea of having such a huge palette and like you mentioned so any similar shades x

wow these swatches are lovely, I was thinking about getting one of these palettes a few days ago, but ended up not getting it. I regret it now!x

The shades in this palette are gorgeous and you're not alone girl, I too love collecting eyeshadow palette. I am horrible with applying eyeshadow but that doesn't deter me from purchasing more. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI know many of the shades are almost similar in this palette but I will use them all. February was supposed to be Makeup Revolution and Kiko shopping month for me but...ugh, Budget.Blown.Out.Of.The.Water. :-/

Hope you'll manage to get it soon! There are some very pretty shades! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jasmine! Yes, I did make it work but some of my recent comments disappear :( and I can't put a bloglovin button on the website because it made the disqus to stop working, so odd, I'm fed up with it all!
ReplyDeleteI already commented on your post that this palette is not very exciting for me :( x
I don't think they're available in US yet but they ship worldwide and their prices are very affordable :)
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing!! I love the more neutral colors. They seem to be pretty pigmented

Unfortunately I find Makeup Revolution's shadows a bit hit and miss. Some colours are nicely pigmented and some are very, very sheer and hard to work with. I know everyone seems to love them at the moment, but I'm not a huge fan of their eye palettes. xx

Some of them have great pigmentation, others are sheerer but in general, they're very good. x
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, some shades are really amazing and there are some that definitely are not but in general, I think, they're one of the best eye shadows for the price. I found the I heart Makeup range slightly better than the main MR. And I can feed my eye shadow palette addiction because they're cheap :) xx
ReplyDeleteI don't think they're in Canada but they ship worldwide if you're interested :)
ReplyDeleteI do like the look of the colours in this palette but from what you say, it seems like they have focused on quantity rather than quality unfortunately....

I've heard amazing things about these makeup revolution palettes, they look gorgeous!

There are some pretty shades but I'd say at least a third of them are just a less pigmented version of the next one. Not the best palette in terms of variety. x
ReplyDeleteSome are better than others but, in general, they have really great palettes! x
ReplyDeleteI would be right there with you in that eyeshadow addict therapy group! LOL I always tell myself I have enough, then LORAC goes and releases another amazing palette and I throw all caution to the wind! lol
ReplyDeleteLOL! I don't blame you! I wish we could get Lorac here in UK! If I ever find the right therapy group for us I'll let you know :) x
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, you'll have more time to catch up on all the new releases from Makeup Revolution :) I'm such an eye shadow palette junkie! x
ReplyDeleteI like big palettes, as long as they have a nice variety of shades but this one just doesn't excite me much. x
ReplyDeleteI agree that sometimes too many shades might be overwhelming and we tend to reach always for the same anyway :)
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing value for money and there are some pretty shades, but it's not that exciting as a whole palette. x
ReplyDeletei loved seeing this brand because i don't believe it's available here in the states. such gorgeous shadows and pigmentation. thanks for those swatches!!
ReplyDeleteWow this is a huge palette! Not sure where this is available in Canada, but sees worth checking out.
