Hello!
Last week has been filled with celebrities makeup looks, hair styles and outfits with the Oscars 2015 and the Brit Awards 2015 gracing our TV screens. I didn't watch live the Oscars but right the next day I went through all the news to find out the winners but also who looked like for the ceremony. I love seeing celebrities being made up by the greatest makeup artists and all the trends on the Red Carpet. Of course being makeup obsessed I had to focus on that aspect of the big performance :) There were many beautiful makeup looks but one that stood out to me was the one that JLo was wearing. It was different from other looks on the Red Carpet, she looked beautiful, feminine and fresh. So I decided to get the inspiration from her and create my version of the Jlo Oscars 2015 makeup look.
She wore warm, peachy tones on the eyes and cool, baby pink lips, even though the colours seem to be clashing, they somehow worked nicely together.
I went through all my eyeshadow palettes and one that could cater for this look was the Jaclyn Hill Favourite palette by Morphe Brushes.
* I buffed the shade #2-gorgeous peachy coral, in and above the crease of the eye and applied it on my lower lash line.
* With shade #3-warm soft brown, I defined more my crease concentrating this shade only in that area.
*After lightly dusting my lids with shade #2 I applied on top shade #4-beautiful shimmery baby pink which I also added to my lower lid.
* To highlight my brow bone and inner corner of the eye I used shade #1-pink champagne shimmer.
JLo eyes were looking light and fresh without heavy eyeliners but with lots of lashes so I lined my upper lash line with Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black to make the lashes look fuller, applied a coat of Benefit Rollerlash mascara and added Red Cherry false lashes.
On my waterline I applied Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude.
For my brows I used, as usual, Rimmel Brow Pencil in Hazel.
For my base I used:
Primer - Laura Geller Spackle Under Makeup Primer
Foundation - Dior Star in 020
Concealers - under my eyes Pixi Corrective Concentrate Concealer (review) and to highlight the centre of my face the L'Oreal Lumi Magique in Light.
To get that JLo glow I used the e.l.f. Baked Bronzer to warm up my face, the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso to add a peach-y colour to my cheeks and Makeup Revolution Radiant Powder in Breathe lightly dusted all over my face to achieve that glow from within.
For my lips I decided to use the Makeup Revolution #Liphug in 'Want to Leave?' with ModelCo Lipgloss in Fairy Floss on top.
After doing my makeup I then found in my collection a lipstick that would be better match to JLo's lip colour, the Rimmel by Kate #101 but as I took already my pictures for the blog I decided to stick with my first choice.
And that's how it looks my version of the JLo Oscars 2015 makeup look :)
What did you think of JLo makeup look? When I first saw it I wasn't impressed but then it grew on me and I liked it a lot. And I like it on myself as well, it's kind of Spring-ready look:)
Whose makeup and/or outfit was your favourite from the Oscars 2015 Red Carpet? Let's chat about celebrities, shall we? :)

Another lovely look, can't say I really took much notice of the Oscars but the look that JLo wore was lovely. I don't think that I would do it but it really suits you and I love the lip colour too :)

ReplyDeleteI didn't really pay too much attention to the Oscars so I didn't know what J-Lo wore but I think you have interpreted it beautifully! Another gorgeous look - I think you should consider being a makeup artist! :) x
