Hello!
Today I'm sharing with you 4th and last before Christmas festive makeup look. I've been enjoying so much creating these kind of posts that I might actually make it a weekly feature on my blog :)
I can't believe that next week we'll be after Christmas Day already! Hope you're all having fun getting ready for the most magical time of the year. I certainly am!
Today's makeup is softer and more subtle than the previous ones but still looks elegant and festive with sparkly eyes.
To create my eye makeup I decided to use this time a budget friendly eye shadow palette from Makeup Revolution called 'Death by Chocolate'. I reviewed this palette a few months ago and this post has been my most viewed one with nearly 4000 views which is absolutely crazy considering how little my blog is. So thinking that many of you might have this palette or think of buying it I created the makeup look using it.
You can see from the picture that the eye shadow palette has been well loved but also there was couple of accidents when my little boy decided to play with mummy's makeup :) Anyway, the palette has gorgeous eye shadows which are super soft in texture, very pigmented and easy to blend.
For my eyes I decided to use these shades:
Set Me Free, the main eye shadow in this look, is a gorgeous silver taupe that, in my opinion, looks very elegant on the eyes and kind of festive. The rest of the shades compliment it beautifully.
Here's a quick pictorial of how I used the eye shadows.
1 - White Light, matte white, all over my lid up to the brows.
2 - Break Me Up in the crease as a transition shade.
3 - Set Me Free applied on 2/3 lid with flat shader brush dampen in the Makeup Revolution Aqua Seal Liquid Eye Primer to make the colour look more metallic.
4 - Tease Me in the outer 1/3 of the lid with the dampen brush as well.
5 - Devour Me to darken the outer corner of the eye and blended into the crease.
6 - All Is Lost used to darken the outer part of the lid and the lash line and then blended lightly upwards (7).
8 - I lined my lash line with black eyeliner (Oriflame The One eye liner).
9 - After applying my foundation and concealer I filled my brows ( L'Oreal Brow Artist eyebrow pencil in Brunette, L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper brow gel in Medium/Dark), then I smudged Tease Me and Devour Me on my lower lash line.
10 - Bring Down the Angels as a highlight in the inner corner of the eye.
11, 12 - I applied a one coat of mascara (L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes So Couture So Black) to my lashes to prepare them for false lashes (Red Cherry #Wispies).
For my base I used:
The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser primer
Dior Star foundation in 020
Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in Classic Beige for my under eyes to cover the dark circles and brighten the area.
L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder to set my concealer and foundation.
For my cheeks:
Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 022 Sun Bronze to lightly contour and add warmth to my skin.
For blush and highlight I used lightly two shades from the Makeup Revolution 'Golden Sugar' palette, just how stunning they are!
For my lips:
I lined my lips with Maybelline Colour Sensational Lip Liner in Midnight Plum to add some berry tonnes to my lipstick which was the new from Makeup Revolution #Liphug lipstick in Keeps the Planet Spinning which is a beautiful deep berry red shade. It's very comfortable and hydrating on the lips but it tends to slightly "bleed" so the lip liner helps with that and adds longevity to the lipstick.
And after all the steps here's the finished look :)
Please, excuse my hair, I had to take the pictures before it got too dark and the hair wasn't styled at that moment and still a bit damp (damn you Winter short days, lol).
