Hello!
Milani is a brand I've heard a lot about from American bloggers/vloggers but haven't explored myself as their products are not readily available in UK. One day I was browsing through beauty department on Amazon website and I came across some of Milani products and decided to try something. As I'm becoming slightly obsessed with lipsticks lately I ordered three of their Colour Statement Lipsticks in shades:
17 Plumrose, 21 Sangria and 25 Naturally Chic.
17 Plumrose, 21 Sangria and 25 Naturally Chic.
The packaging is a shiny golden, plastic tube with a section at the bottom that shows the colour and has its name written on. The closure feels secure and has a satisfying 'click' :) As soon as you open the lipstick you're greeted with lightly sweet, fruity scent that is quite noticeable when applying the lipstick but doesn't last long on the lips.
Now let me tell you about the formula, in one word: amazing! I'm so impressed with those lipsticks! They are very pigmented, feel creamy but not in the 'slide off your lips' way and apply smoothly and evenly. Two of them have satin finish and one is more on the matte side. The staying power of those lipsticks is really good, they last on my lips around 4, 5 hours if not eating but I still could have a drink or two. They're wearing off evenly and the matte shade leaves quite strong stain behind. I haven't noticed any significant bleeding/feathering of the colours but I used the lip liner with Sangria just to be on the safe side. Milani Colour Statement Lipsticks don't dry out my lips, I'd say they actually feel quite hydrating and in fact they contain Vitamin A and C to nourish the lips. And all that for under £5 each!

Let me show you now the colours I chose.
17 Plumrose - cream formula, deep pink/mauve shade with just a bit of shine to it, it has slightly purple undertones and it just instantly brings life to my face. Love it!
21 Sangria - matte formula, feels ever so slightly drier than the other two, it does leave a tiny amount of shine on the lips which I actually like. The shade I'd describe as deep berry purple, on the hand it looks more red wine-like but on my lips shows clearly the purple undertones. Beautiful A/W shade!
25 Naturally Chic - cream formula, with a bit of shine to it. The shade is a gorgeous rosy nude, just the perfect balance between pink and brown, beautiful for any occasion, I'm loving it!
I'm absolutely obsessed with those lipsticks, the quality, in my opinion, is excellent, especially considering how cheap they are. I highly recommend giving them a try.
Unfortunately you can't get them from the shop in UK but there are hundreds swatches on the internet to make your online purchase easier. You can find Milani cosmetics on Amazon or from the website called Comedic where they sell extensive range of Milani products. I've already made a list of other things I want to try from the brand :)
Have you tried anything from Milani Cosmetics?
