Hello!
Recently I bought some new products from Makeup Revolution as you could see in my haul post, one of them being the 'Golden Sugar' blush palette (RRP £6). The palette comes in a black box which makes it look already more expensive than it is. The packaging itself is a sleek black plastic case with very secure closure which I actually struggle to open every single time, no risks of accidental opening here or your children trying to play with your blushes :) Inside there is a large mirror which is always a bonus.
What attracted me to this palette was the selection of shades which look very Autumn/Winter appropriate. I ordered it online and the only swatches I saw were the ones on the website but for the price I was ready to take the risk.
As you can see on the picture above there are 8 pans with merged, baked highlighters, blushes and bronzers.
The pigmentation of all of them is amazing and some of the darker shades you really have to apply them with a very light hand. They feel soft and blend beautifully on the skin. Most of them are shimmery products but only one contains very subtle glitter, the rest is more on a metallic side of shimmer.
I haven't worn all of the shades on my face but the ones I have they stayed in place for good 8 hours without any touch ups.
Unfortunately the shades are not named so I simply numbered them to make it easier to talk about them.
1 - white shimmery highlighter, a bit too chunky for my liking but used sparingly it gives amazing intense highlight.
2 - subtle light pink colour with beautiful sheen, amazing as highlighter but can be build up to use as a blush.
3 - very light pink blush with satin finish, looks very natural and beautiful on the skin.
4 - golden, shimmery bronzer, used very light gives an amazing golden highlight.
5 - very light golden champagne shade with very natural, satin finish that I found amazing as a subtle highlighter as it looks beautiful on top of my cheekbones and doesn't accentuate any pores at all.
6 - this is gorgeous mauvey - pink shimmery blush which doubles up as a highlighter and I can imagine it would look beautiful on darker skin tones as a highlighter itself.
7 - orangey-copper shimmery bronzer/blusher that I haven't dared to wear as it looks quite scary really, haha, but I think with very light hand it might look really nice on the cheeks and definitely would look good on darker skin tones.
8 - matte medium bronzer, beautiful texture and pigmentation but unfortunately too orange for my skin tone.
My favourite shades from the palette are numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 so it was definitely worth buying the whole palette as I will definitely be using those blushers/highlighters. I think the palette is quite versatile for different skin tones which is always good if a brand caters for different women.
If you want/need some new highlighters palette I can highly recommend the Golden Sugar as it is very pretty, good quality and so affordable!
Have you tried blush palettes from Makeup Revolution?
