Antipodes - the green beauty brand you need to know about

Antipodes is a skincare brand I came across a few years ago thanks to blogging and totally fell in love with the Divine Avocado and Rosehip Facial Oil which I talked about in this post. I had a few other products from the brand in my skincare stash but because I am lucky to be sent some skincare for reviews on regular basis those that I already own are pushed back in the waiting queue. Recently I received some products from Antipodes which inspired me to reach for the neglected ones in my skincare drawers. I've been trialling them for couple of months now and while not everything works perfectly for my skin I think the brand deserves a shout out because most of their products are pretty amazing!

Antipodes skincare

Highly innovative organic skincare brand, born in New Zealand, with range of products created with highest quality ingredients, certified vegetarian and some products vegan, Antipodes is the green beauty brand you should know about if green beauty is something you like to incorporate in your skincare routine.
From facial to body products to range of makeup you'll find something suitable for your skin's needs for sure.

Here are some of my favourite products from Antipodes I've been using lately.

Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser*, 120ml, £24.99

Ingredients:
Waiwera© Artesian Water, Amigel, Lavender Flower Distillate*, Jojoba Oil*, Avocado Oil*, Macadamia Nut Oil*, Marigold / Calendula Flower Oil, Vinanza Oxifend© Pinot Noir Grape Extract, Vitamin E, Natural Preservative & Fragrance, Aqua, Glycerine, Sclerotium Gum, Lavandula Angustifolia, Buxus Chinensis, Persea Gratissima, Macadamia Ternifolia, Calendula Officinalis, Glyceryl Stearate, Vitis Vinifera, Tocopherol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Naticide.

Antipodes Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser

Just as it says, very gentle and creamy cleanser which leaves my skin feeling very clean but also nourished and not stripped form moisture. I'm not usually drawn to cream cleansers for some reason but this is an exception as it's such a pleasure to use it, I like to reach for it as my second cleanse after removing makeup with some oil or as my morning cleanse if my skin feels a bit parched.
The cleanser has some herbal-ish, very natural scent that I am not a massive fan of but it's not an unpleasant one, and definitely worth sticking to it anyway because the cleanser is so nice.

Reincarnation Pure Facial Exfoliator*, 75ml, £21.99

Ingredients:
Water, Apricot Oil, Hydrogenated Jojoba Wax, Vitamin E, Avocado Oil, Marigold / Calendula Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Vinanza Grape© Grapeseed Extract, Aqua, Kaolin, Prunus Armeniaca, Buxus Chinensis, Glycerine, Glycerol Stearate, Cetearyl Wheat Straw Glycosides, Cetearyl Alcohol, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopherol, Persea Gratissima, Calendula Officinalis, Daucus Carota Sativa, Vitis Vinifera, Gluconolactone, Sodium Benzoate, Calcium Gluconate, Essential Oil Fragrances Of Cedarwood & Sweet Orange, D-Limonene*, Citral*, Linalool*.

Although I swear by using chemical exfoliators (AHAs and BHA) I still reach for those containing scrubbing particles as sometimes you just want to polish off your skin, gently of course. And that's when the Antipodes offering comes in hand!
Tiny Jojoba beads are responsible for gentle exfoliation of the skin while oils like Avocado, Calendula, Carrot Seed and Apricot nourish the skin leaving it soft, smooth and never stripped or dry. Addition of Kaolin helps to draw out impurities from the pores so I'm always left with a deeply cleansed skin. It's a fantastic product that not only cleanses and exfoliate the skin but also nourishes and hydrates it, perfect for dry skin and even sensitive one as it's very gentle.
I love to use it especially in the morning as then my skin is perfectly prepped for the daily moisturiser and makeup. It also helps to the overall joy of using it that it smells so nicely citrus-y, perfect to awaken the skin and myself in the morning.

Joyous Protein-Rich Night Replenish Serum, 30ml, £39.99

Ingredients:
Blackcurrant Oil, Goji Berry Extract, Raspberry Seed Oil, Hibiscus Flower Extract, Reishi Mushroom Extract, Ribes Nigrum, Lycium Barbarum, Rubus Idaeus, Hibiscus Sabdarifa, Gandoderma Lucidum, Essential Oil Fragrances Of Blackcurrant, D-Limonene*, Geraniol*, Linalool*, Citronellal*.

Antipodes Joyous Protein Rich Night Replenish Serum

An intensive oil-based silky serum that helps to repair dry and damaged skin. It contains Himalayan Goji Berry Extract which is said to deliver up to 19 amino acids to replenish protein at a cellular level in your skin. Raspberry Seed and Blackcurrant Oils are rich source of essential fats to keep skin's barrier protected. Hibiscus Flower Extract brightens and smooths out the complexion.
Although marketed as serum I use this facial oil after applying a more lightweight serum to my skin and don't follow with anything else on top as it's nourishing and hydrating enough for my combination/oily skin. It takes a while to sink in but it doesn't feel greasy, just rich. It has quite botanical strong scent which might not be for everyone, I don't mind it but it's definitely something that could put people off using this serum/oil.
I use it probably every other night and I always wake up with plumper, calmer and nourished skin. This is a beautiful product for anyone with dry or/and dehydrated or mature skin. Just like the Divine Facial Oil it has quickly become one of my favourite products to use when my skin feels in a need of some TLC.

I have also tried the Immortal SPF15 Face and Body Moisturiser* but I found it was a bit tacky on my face so I didn't enjoy it as I prefer much more lightweight facial SPF. And to be honest if I use SPF on my face I prefer something with a higher SPF factor.

The Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream* is a nice moisturiser but it doesn't suit my skin, although not greasy or heavy I find it too rich for my combination skin and the high content of Shea Butter is a big no-no for me as it clogs my skin if I use it regularly. If you don't mind Shea Butter in your skincare and your skin is more on the drier side then I think you would totally enjoy this moisturiser.

Have you tried Antipodes skincare? What are your favourite products form the brand?
