For every budget: facial mists

If you had a look through my beauty stash you would see a good mix of expensive and very affordable products, from skincare to makeup. I'm not a makeup/skincare snob, I think there are fantastic products in a drugstore and there are high end products not worth their price tag. And while usually more expensive products, especially skincare, are higher quality, with better ingredients list, it doesn't mean you can't get good products on a smaller budget.
With all these in mind I thought I'll start a new series on the blog where I'll share with you three products in one category, each at different price range, all good quality, which I enjoy using and would repurchase them. They're not 'dupes' but great alternatives to suit different budgets. And today we're talking facial mists.

Omorovicza Queen Of Hungary Face Mist , Superdrug Vitamin E Face Mist, Grounded Body Scrub Facial Mist

I like using face mists all year round but they're especially useful during Summer and hot weather to cool/refresh our face, adds hydration to the skin without disrupting makeup and they also work perfectly as soothing/hydrating tonners. I use face mists every day in the morning after cleansing my face, in the evening after using face masks/exfoliators and during the day to just hydrate my skin and make me feel fresher.
One of my all time favourite face mists is Mario Badescu Facial Mist with Aloe Vera and Rosewater, £7 (118ml), which I have talked about on the blog many times and repurchased time and time again.
But lately I've been testing out some new to me facial sprays and they all have received my approval so I wanted to share them with you.

Under £10...

I've heard so many people saying good things about Suerdrug own skincare range so I have decided to try some products and bought a few of them couple of months ago, one of them being this face mist.
Rich in Glycerine and Hydrogenated Castor Oil helps to keep the skin moisturised and protected, Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, will help to shield the skin against environmental damage and premature skin ageing, Aloe Vera and Allantoin soothe the skin, multivitamin complex (vitamins A, B, F and H) combined with Horse Chestnut extract, helps to care for dry skin.
Unfortunately there are also present Alcohol, quite far down on the ingredients list though and perfume, so very sensitive skins might need to be careful but I'm not bothered by either and my skin hasn't reacted badly to any of them.

The face mist has a subtle coconut scent and it's not very fine so if I want to apply it over my makeup I have to be sure that I spray it from a bigger distance. Other then that I have nothing bad to say about this face mist. It feels soothing and very hydrating on my skin and it's such a bargain.

Under £20...

Lovely face mist brought out by a brand who is well known for their coffee body scrubs.
Created with Rosewater, Chamomile and Aloe Vera, it feels soothing and hydrating on the skin. Seaweed and Witch Hazel extracts help to absorb excess oils and restore skin's balance, so the mist is also great for oily skin as a tonner or midday pick-me-up. There's no alcohol or artificial fragrance in the list of ingredients.

The mist has a subtle rose/herbal scent, not the prettiest in my opinion but also not one that will stop me from using it. The mist isn't super fine but I've been using this toner over my makeup without disturbing it. I think this face mist would be especially loved by those with normal to oily skin as very dry skin might not find it hydrating enough.

Over £20...

Omorovicza Queen Of Hungary Mist*, £25 for 50ml (limited edition packaging)

The Queen of the face mists for sure :) How beautiful is the limited edition packaging?!
Created with the Hungarian Thermal Water rich in minerals, enriched with Glycerin and Apple pectin to provide long-lasting hydration and suppleness, added Orange Blossom, Rose & Sage waters to purify and tone the skin. Free from synthetic fragrance, colours, parabens and alcohol this face mist will suit even very sensitive skin.

This facial mist is a real treat to use because not only it has very subtle, soothing rosy scent but also the mist is extremely fine so there are not splashes of liquid just micro-droplets of mist over skin. Absolutely perfect to use as a toner after cleansing or facial treatments but also to set the makeup with, it won't extend the longevity of it but it makes everything looks beautifully blended/melted into the skin.

I can't say that my skin's appearance has improved while using this face mist and I don't think it's meant to work as hard, there are other products to do that but it's a gorgeous face mist to have if your budget allows it.

The small size is perfect to keep it in your handbag or hand luggage but the glass bottle isn't exactly travel friendly.

I really enjoy these three face mists and each of them have something extra to offer. The Superdrug one feels the most hydrating on my skin, the Omorovicza one is the most soothing and the one from Grounded Body Scrub helps to keep my oils at bay during the day.

Do you use facial mists on daily basis? Which one is your favourite?
