October beauty favourites

Happy Halloween, guys! I can't believe we're saying 'goodbye' to October already! And in no time we'll be all feeling pretty festive and getting ready for the exciting part of the year which is Christmas.
Today I want to talk to you about a few products that I've been almost obsessed with in the last few weeks and, strangely, it's all makeup although I've been very much into skincare lately. But I have some skincare posts planned for later so let's focus on the makeup this time.

PMD Personal Microderm, review and before & after photos

Anything that promises to make my skin look smoother, cleaner, brighter and more youthful looking will get my full attention. So when I was offered to test the PMD Personal Microderm* I agreed in no time, especially as I read many positive reviews on blogs that I follow and trust the bloggers behind.
The Personal Microderm is a revolutionary at-home skincare device that provides the same great results as professional, in-salon microdermabrasion treatments. By combining the power of exfoliation with a unique vacuum suction, the Personal Microderm works to remove the dead, dull skin cell barrier, increase blood flow and stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin.

10 fantastic makeup products under £10

As much as I love and treasure my high end makeup products I also really enjoy drugstore ones. I'm not a makeup snob by any means and try lots of affordable products which often rival their much more expensive alternatives. And today I want to share with you 10 great makeup items which cost £10, or under, each and are good not only for the price but are genuinely fantastic products which in some cases out-perform much more expensive offerings.

'Wear It Pink': Breast Cancer Awareness Month, collaboration post

As many of you probably know October is a Breast Cancer Awareness Month and today I'm coming to you with a very exciting post which is a collaboration with 3 lovely ladies, Pam (Pam Scalfi), Shireen (Reflection Of Sanity), and Honia (Lovely Attitude, xoxo) in order to raise awareness amongst women while having fun wearing pink. Me and Shireen will share with you some pink makeup looks and Pam and Honia will show us some pretty pink outfits.
Breast cancer affects hundreds of thousands of women every year, many of whom dies because of it, yet it's one of the cancers that can be usually curable when detected very early. So today I want to remind every single one of you of the importance of breast self examination. Let's take control and responsibility of our own health, ladies!

Bodymonth - new body care subscription beauty box

Beauty market in UK is saturated with subscription beauty boxes, you can choose between those that surprise you with different samples every month or those that let you pick the ones you want from a selection. So when I was contacted by Kingsley Okafor, Bodymonth founder, with the question if I'm interested in trying their beauty box I was a bit hesitant as I'm, in general, not such a big fan of subscription boxes. But seeing as it's a box focused on body care, your daily essentials, promising full size products I decided it was worth a shot as it seemed different to what already is on the market.

Recent makeup and perfume 'empties'

Not long ago I shared with you skincare products I finished and today it's time for some makeup 'empties'. Using up a makeup product while being a beauty junkie like I am it's quite an accomplishment so I'm happy to see a few of them in front of me. But, believe me, it took me a while to collect them all.

Easy Halloween makeup tutorial: black swan

With Halloween just around the corner I thought I will share with you an idea for a quick and easy makeup look perfect for a Halloween party. I never was into getting dressed up for that occasion but since my boys are big enough to understand and enjoy that time of year (they can't wait to put their costumes on and go 'treat or tricking') I started anticipating in it more.
But as much as I admire fantastic Halloween costumes and makeup of other talented people I want something super easy and not complicated. And even better if I don't need to spend any extra money on it and use what I already have.
Last year I created a super easy vampire look and this year I decided to play the black swan.

Isn't trying out new products super exciting? There might be some gems which becomes my favourites or maybe they'll be some things totally unsuitable for me but the moment of trying something for the first time is definitely fun. I've been recently sent some natural makeup products by Canadian brand Maison Jacynthe and also got couple of new things from Bourjois so after playing with them for a few days I thought I would share with you my thoughts on them.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit - Surreal Light palette, first impressions, swatches and comparison to Ambient Lighting Edit palette

Ever since I saw the first sneak peeks of the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit - Surreal Light palette being released for Holidays 2016 I knew I'll need to have it. I've been totally in love with the last year's edition, Ambient Lighting Edit, and I use it very often. It's one of my most luxurious and treasured piece of makeup but also one that is worth every single penny I paid for. Not only because all the powders are amazing quality but also because I get so much use out of it. £69 for a little palette is a lot of money though so I didn't jump straight to ordering it the moment it was released in UK and thought I would ask for it for Christmas if it's still available at that time. But when Space NK had an offer of £15 off when you spend £60 I knew it was now or maybe never to get the palette. So off it went to my basket, I also used £5 from my NDulge points so the palette cost me £20 less the original price which was pretty good, almost a bargain, LOL!

Makeup tutorial: soft romantic eyes using Sleek 'Goodnight Sweetheart' palette

If you read my recent post on some new makeup I've been trialling then you know I've been sent the new Sleek 'Goodnight Sweetheart' palette which was such a lovely surprise, especially as I was eyeing up that palette since I saw it being released but have been trying to be sensible with my beauty purchases. So as soon as I opened the package I couldn't wait to create some looks with it.
And today I want to share with you this soft, romantic eye look which is super easy to re-create and perfect for many occasions. You can make it easily a daytime look by skipping the false lashes or glam it up a bit by pairing it with a statement lipstick, deep berry would look super pretty.

The berry edit: my favourite lipsticks, blushes and nail polishes

I've shared with you already my favourite lipsticks and blushes in mauve shades, lip products in pretty earthy tones and, seeing as Autumn has arrived, it's time for the berry edit. There's no other shade in makeup which makes me think of this time of year as much as berry colour and it's one that I wear only during those colder months of the year. Not because there are rules in makeup I try to follow but, simply, because it makes me think of all the beautiful, rich colours of this season.
I have picked some of my favourite berry lipsticks, blushes and have thrown in a few nail polishes so without further ado let's get to them.
