Custom made DIY hair dye from eSalon* (sp)

I've been colouring my hair since my early 20s, (many moons ago), and most of the time I've been doing it at home with hair dyes easily available in drugstores. As much as I love the effect of hair coloured in a salon I simply can't justify paying lots of money every 2, 3 months and I've been pretty satisfied with the DIY method.
I've never changed my hair colour drastically, I've always played safe and reached for browns or reds just to add some vibrancy to my natural hair. Although I did got creative one time and bleached a streak of my hair to a very yellow looking blonde shade, long story short, I hated it, haha!
Anyway, when eSalon, who specialises in custom made hair dyes, approached me I didn't hesitate to try their service. I was due hair colouring and intrigued by the company who creates personalised product just like in a salon.

Summer coral lipsticks

According to the calendar Summer is here, although looking through the window looks like it somehow missed UK and let Autumn come earlier.
Anyway, it's the time of year to dig out all pretty coral lipsticks as, right next to hot pinks, these shades are perfect for Summer, in my opinion. They make me think of holidays, beautiful sunsets and look especially flattering with bronzed, tanned skin.
Today I'm sharing with you my top 5 coral lipsticks which not only look pretty but also have great formulas.

Makeup tutorial: green halo eye look using Makeup Geek eyeshadows

There's something about green eyeshadows that makes me always excited to create eye looks with them, obviously, they're not your typical everyday neutrals, but they're fun and definitely less scary to work with then other brighter colours. Recently I got one of the newest Makeup Geek eyeshadows called Venom which is a beautiful metallic forest green and I couldn't wait to put it on my eyes.
So today I'm sharing with you look I created with this colour. I paired it with another stunning and very unique shade called Karma, light gold duo-chrome with lime green shift and added some very warm tones to balance out the cooler greens.

Empties: products I've used up lately

It seems like I'm going through my beauty products quite quickly as I posted my previous 'empties' post not long ago and few weeks later I'm ready to talk to you about some more products which I've used up recently. It will be a long post so without further ado let's get to it.

New makeup products on trial

I've been pretty good at not buying lots of beauty products in the last couple of months and I've noticed that the longer I go without letting myself indulge in makeup or skincare purchases the easier is to resist the temptation of having the latest releases or pretty looking products. But of course as a beauty junkie and a blogger there will be some occasional hauls :) So today I want to share with you my thoughts on a few makeup products that I've been testing for the last couple of weeks.

Summer hot pink lips and simple eye makeup

When I was planning blog posts for this week and trying to come up with new makeup look for my usual Friday makeup tutorial I was feeling a bit uninspired and didn't want to force myself to create something just for the sake of the blog (if you haven't already you can check my last week's Summer makeup look which I totally loved). So instead I've decided to show you my favourite 5 pink lipsticks which I've been loving wearing in the warmer weather and a simple eye makeup which goes well with any of these shades. This kind of makeup look has been my 'go to' for couple of months, my eyes look defined but quite simple and the bright lipstick plays the main role.

Trialling Gatineau skincare

One of the best things about beauty blogging for me is discovering new brands, either through reading other blogs or having opportunities to try new products. A few weeks ago I was kindly sent some deluxe samples of Gatineau skincare, French brand established in 1930s by a visionary beauty therapist Madame Jeanne Gatineau, a woman with true passion for beauty, who developed a revolutionary skincare. After opening her own professional school, she went on to create ground-breaking products, including the very first exfoliant.
The brand blends the perfect mix of natural extracts and bio-technology to generate immediate results for women and offers professional range of products.

I've been using all the products I've received for the past month as a part of my evening skincare routine and I'm ready to share my thoughts on them.

May beauty favourites

It's almost half of June and I'm finally bringing you my May beauty favourites, but I'm still loving every single product in this post so the date doesn't really matter. All of these products were with me on my holidays and I enjoyed using them every day without missing anything that stayed at home so they really deserve a recognition on the blog :)

Makeup tutorial: turquoise eye look using Makeup Geek eyeshadows

Although I've been on my Summer holidays this year already (check our holiday snippets) the Summer in UK is just starting and we've been blessed with gorgeous sunny weather lately so I was in a mood to create some makeup looks that are very Summery in my opinion. I reached for colours which make me think of days on the beach, ocean and mermaids :) And another, simple reason for this eye look is that a while ago I bought some stunning turquoise shades from Makeup Geek and I couldn't wait to put them on my eyes!

Yet another ColourPop haul

After falling in love with all the products I got from Colourpop couple of months ago I knew there will be more hauls in the future and, surely, I didn't wait too long before placing another order. While Colourpop has very affordable products, the shipping to UK is not so much, so obviously, it's a bit of treat but because they were having 20% off sale and I had some credit with the myMallBox company, which I use to ship products from US, I thought it would be rude not to treat myself to some goodies :) I kept my order fairly small, just over $30, to avoid custom charges on arrival of the parcel in UK.

Snippets from our holidays in Costa Del Sol, Spain

Welcome back all!
I can't say I'm over the moon that we're no longer sunbathing on a Spanish coast but I'm slowly accepting the fact that our holidays has finished. To hang on it a bit more I've decided to share with you some pictures and moments of the time we spent in Benalmadena on our Summer holidays.

I posted some pictures on my Instagram and shared some snaps on Snapchat (mummysbeauty) but the Wi-Fi in the hotel was not the best and also I really enjoyed being away for a while from the online world. And surprise surprise, I didn't even think of going into any shop which sells makeup or other beauty products and I even resisted the Duty Free on the airports, probably mostly because we never had enough time to browse in shops while getting the plane but anyway I came back home without any new beauty purchases, well done me :)

Many of you, my regular readers, feel like friends to me so I thought it would be nice to show you a bit of my personal life and at the same time help myself ease into the blogging again with this lifestyle post :)
