After a few days off I'm back to blogging with an exciting, for me at least, post about my recent Colourpop haul. Colourpop is an American budget makeup brand that has been talked about by almost every American beauty guru on YouTube. Unfortunately they are available only online and they don't ship outside of US so of course many of us, not US residents, are desperate to get our hands on some of the hyped products. To the rescue come third party shipping companies which provide you with an American address to enable you to ship your goodies from any US retailer to their warehouse and then they ship the package to you.

It's been a while since I reviewed a Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette but regular readers would know that I own many of them and highly rate quality of their eyeshadows considering the price point. Today I want to share with you a palette that is quite special and was created in collaboration with Jane aka British Beauty Blogger. If you follow many beauty blogs then I'm sure you know Jane and her blog. I've been following her for a few years, trust her opinion and always check her blog for any news from the world of beauty. Jane has been working with Makeup Revolution since the brand launched two years ago so I think it's only natural that they created a product together with her name on it.

We're officially in Spring now so some makeup switch is in order as I usually tend to favour lighter bases and fresher look for Spring and Summer. Today I want to talk to you about budget products that give us the dreamy 'glow from within' look, so desirable especially when the sun is out and we want to look youthful, healthy and glowing.

The Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon palette (review) has become one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes, I've been using it every day for almost two weeks and I can't get enough of it. I love the shades selection and their quality and have created many looks using the palette.
Today I want to share with you an evening makeup look in which I incorporated the shade Earl Grey which is a beautiful and quite unique blackened teal, one of those shades that look very pretty when swatched and then we are not quite sure what to do with it.
So let's get started :)

I've been looking after mine skin since early teenage years, unfortunately most of the time I wasn't using the right products. As my skin became oilier I started using products that were supposed to keep the oil at bay and balance the skin. Years have been passing and I kept struggling with oily skin, clogged pores and uneven texture, I was lucky not to have acne but of course I had to deal with some spots. Even in my adult years my skin was the same oily and I kept using products that were aimed at oily skin. Now, after all these years I can see that my main skin problem was the oiliness and I was using way too harsh products in order to calm it down but of course I was only aggravating it.
Only when I ventured into the beauty blogs world a few years ago and came across real skincare experts like Caroline Hirons I started learning more about what my skin needs to look and feel its best. And at the age of almost 37 I can finally say that I'm happy with my skin, well, most of the time, there are still days when I don't know what's going on with it :)

Regular readers on Mummy's Beauty Corner know how obsessed I am with eyeshadow palettes so it's not a surprise that after couple of months of resisting it I finally gave in and got the new Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon palette (£39). Strictly speaking I got it as one of my presents for Mother's Day but you can imagine that it was requested :) I love Too Faced palettes, adore their cute packaging and even though I certainly don't need another eyeshadow palette I just had to have the Chocolate palette family complete :) When the brand released the palette I thought that, apart from the packaging, there's nothing unique about the eyeshadows but the more reviews I saw the more I liked the look of them. And now I actually think many of them are quite different from what I already have in other palettes. As you have probably guessed I'm quite smitten with this palette and have been using it every single day since I got it and can't put it away.

In my second instalment of 'makeup inspired by nature' (check my first one here) I'm dreaming of Spring in full bloom and beautiful cherry trees. Spring is my favourite season and seeing all the trees and flowers coming back to life after Winter makes me always happy and sentimental. I remember this big beautiful cherry tree we used to have in front of our kitchen window when I was a child and it was the most beautiful view on Spring mornings (going back the memory lane again, are we? it's a sign of getting real old, LOL!)
Anyways, I chose this pretty picture of blossoming cherry tree on a sunny day as my inspiration to today's makeup.

Zoeva is one of my favourite brands, I love their brushes, adore eyeshadows and I was also impressed by some other makeup items I've tried from them. Every time they bring out new products I get excited and have to try something. Not long ago they launched Spectrum range consisted of eyeshadow and blush palettes (check my review of Cool Spectrum palette) and last week a new Rose Golden set of brushes which is absolutely stunning and Rose Golden Blush Palette (£13) which I'm going to talk about today.

Last week I wrote a post on my Morphe brushes which was quite popular and many of you enjoyed it so I thought I will share with you my thoughts on two brushes that are super cheap but amazing and I reach for them every day when I do my makeup. I'm talking about Ebay brushes from China, clear 'dupes' for some more expensive ones, which are so good that I have back ups and I'm not even thinking of buying the original versions.

In my recent monthly beauty favourites post I mentioned that I've been loving wearing the new Urban Decay & Gwen Stefani lipstick in Firebird. I've created different eye looks around it, from subtle neutral, all matte purples to more vibrant fuchsia themed. And today I want to share with you the last one, probably less wearable for most of you but one that is also more fun. I actually wore it last Saturday on a girly night out with my friends and I liked it and didn't feel like it was too 80s but I'll let you be the judge :)

Seeing as March has started it's time for me to share with you some of my most loved beauty products in the last weeks. February was a month of treating myself to many new lip products (I'm getting seriously obsessed with lipsticks) and skincare but also rediscovering some older things in my collection and showing them the love they deserve.
