Irresistible Me hair extensions - review

Prior to trying the Irresistible Me Hair Extensions I had never tried any other brands or had any desire to do so. I am happy with my hair, their volume, thickness and if I make the effort of properly styling them, they look quite nice, if I say so myself, so I never had the need of adding extensions.
Although I like to keep my hair quite short (arm length is the longest I've had in years) sometimes I'd love to have long, sexy waves. So when the Irresistible Me brand got in touch asking if I want to try their extensions I didn't jump at the chance immediately but after a few days I though 'why not', I wouldn't have probably try it otherwise. So today I want to share with you my thoughts on the hair extensions I got and pictures of me wearing them.

January beauty favourites

It seems like we were celebrating New Year's Day only last week but the truth is it's almost the end of January, isn't that crazy!? Today I want to share with you my recent favourite beauty products, ones that I've been absolutely loving and reaching for the most.
But before we start talking beauty can I just mention that me and my hubby have finally jumped on the Netflix bandwagon and the first series that we watched in full in a record time for us (three evenings!) was the documentary "Making A Murderer". What an incredible story and one that I can't stop thinking about. We both were amazed, shocked and disappointed at the same time. If you haven't watched it yet you definitely should.
So now we have a lifestyle favourite out of the way let me let me talk you through my favourite beauty products :)

Zoeva Cool Spectrum eyeshadow palette - review and swatches

Being an eyeshadow palettes junkie, (or let me call myself collector, just to feel better about the obvious addiction), and a massive fan of Zoeva palettes there was no doubt that I would get at least one of the new Spectrum palettes that Zoeva launched couple of weeks ago. There are three eyeshadow palettes in this range: Nude, Warm and Cool. Although I initially thought that I will go for the Warm palette to start with, after a closer look at the shades in each of them, I've decided to choose the Cool Spectrum palette (£28.50) as it seemed a bit different from what I already have in my collection and also I've been really enjoying wearing cooler toned eyeshadows lately.

Makeup through the decades #9: 2000s

We have arrived at the 2000s in my 'Makeup through the decades' series. It seems to me like we're in 00s right now but that's already a past decade, it's crazy how fast the time is flying. I have to admit that creating a makeup look representing the 00s trends was quite difficult for me and it took me a few days and lots of research to decide on the look. There wasn't a one characteristic makeup trend in the previous decade, makeup looks ranged from soft, natural to dramatic. After watching hundreds of photos, watching some videos and remembering my own makeup journey I came up with this smokey eyes makeup look that, in my opinion, represents the 2000s quite well.

Live Love London - new budget beauty brand to try

Although I like to treat myself to some higher end products, big part of my makeup collection consists of drugstore offerings. In the last few years budget friendly brands have improved their products so much that very often they can rival much more expensive counterparts or even are better, especially considering the price point. So I am always excited to try new affordable products to see how well they perform. Today I want to share with you new UK budget beauty brand: Live Love London, available from selected BHS stores nationwide.

Sharing the blog love #1

Being a part of the blogging community is one of the things I love about being a blogger. I've met through blogging so many fabulous ladies, made some friends that I had never thought was possible, Pam, Brenda, Alina, Renata, I'm looking at you ladies :), and I'm forever grateful for all the support so many of you show me and my blog.
So I've decided to share the blogging love here on Mummy's Beauty Corner and every month feature some of my favourite blogs. I follow over 100 beauty blogs but, probably, only half of them are those that I read every single post on them, interact with the blogger behind it and feel some kind of connection with them.
Today I will be sharing 5 of those favourite blogs, some of them are quite new on my Bloglovin feed and they may also be new to you so I hope you'll enjoy checking them out.

Makeup look: Winter glow and berry lips

Since getting the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette (review) for Christmas I've been obsessed with creating this healthy, luminous complexion that looks so good, especially during Winter when my skin is a bit dehydrated and is lacking in the 'healthy glow' department despite being the combination/oily type. So today I want to share with you Winter makeup look with cool tones on the eyes, glowy skin and berry lips which I'm still obsessed with.

Too Faced Love Flush Long Lasting 16-Hour Blush Wardrobe - review and swatches

Happy hump day all! Today I want to share with you my thoughts on the cutest little palette I've ever owned, the Too Faced Love Flush palette (£27). It was one of my Christmas presents and was ordered through Too Faced website but I believe it's been already available in Debenhams (UK), although right now I can't see it on their site so it must be out of stock. The palette contains 6 mini sized blushes from the Love Flush Long Lasting 16-Hour range and as I don't own any of the full sized blushes I was super excited to get the palette with all 6 shades for much lower price.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders - are they worth the hype?

Ever since I started watching beauty videos on YouTube and reading beauty blogs about 3 years ago I've been lusting after the luxurious Hourglass Ambient powders that so many people raved about but, honestly, the price of single product was definitely putting me off buying something that I wasn't even sure if it was that good. When the sneak peeks of the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette started to pop on social media I got super excited as I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for me to try a few different products without spending hundreds of pounds. When the release date came I realised that £65 is not exactly budget friendly price for a little palette and couldn't justify buying it. But I put it on my Christmas wish list with the hope that Santa (aka my husband) will choose the perfect gifts for me. And as you can see I was very lucky to find the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette under my Christmas tree :)

Makeup through the decades #8 1990s

1990s was the decade of my teenage and early 20s years and I feel a great sentiment when I think of that time. Throughout high school I was a big fan of the grunge style and music, wearing flannel shirts, Converse and Doc Martens, listening to Nirvana, Metallica, Pearl Jam :) Then my style softened a bit, Alanis Morisette, Sheryl Crow, No Doubt were some of my favourite singers/bands, my clothes were less moody and more feminine and I started wearing more makeup. Never liked Britney Spears or Spice Girls though :) Beverly Hills, 90210 was my favourite series (I was totally in love with Dylan, lol!), followed by Friends, of course. It was a great decade and very different in trends to 1980s (check my post here).

Beauty favourites of 2015

Happy New Year all! Hope you all had great Christmas and relaxing Holidays.
Even though I was battling an awful cold for most of the time I did enjoy that special time with my family. There were very relaxing and lazy days and it feels difficult to come back to my usual routine but I'm getting there. I'm also back on the blogging front and today I want to share with you my 2015 beauty favourites, products which impressed me the most amongst all of those that I had the chance to try last year.
