Hello all! Hope you had amazing Christmas! Mine was super relaxing and full of joy, happiness and way too much food :)
Just as promised in my last post I'm coming today to you with a fun collaboration with some of my best blogging friends. Me, Dorota, Leanne, Siobhan and Nishi have been talking on Twitter for a few months and we've become good friends. I'm so glad to be a part of such lovely and supportive group. We decided to do Secret Santa between us and today we'll be sharing with you what we got and who our Secret Santa was :)
And to continue with the Christmas gifts theme I've decided to show you what I got from my family. I had never done those 'what I got for Christmas' posts as I always felt a bit silly showing my gifts but considering I've shared many beauty hauls on this blog let's count this as another one.
Leanne was behind my Secret Santa and she got me some awesome gifts and things I really wanted so it juts proves how well we got to know each other through our blogs and those endless Twitter chats :)
Sali Hughes Pretty Iconic book was on my wish list so I was super happy to receive it. Sali talks about some of her favourites and pretty much cult products and you can just flip through the book, find something that interests you and stop there as the book is full of short chapters, so it's perfect for that before sleep time when I want to switch my phone off but I'm not quite ready to actually sleep.
Ever since Leanne and Dorota started raving about Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks I was very tempted to try them but because I'm not a big fan of the brand owner, Jeffree Star, it hadn't happened until Leanne surprised me with one of them. She chose shade Masochist which is a gorgeous raspberry pink and I have to admit that the formula is pretty awesome, it might be one of the best liquid lipsticks on the market and now I definitely want more shades.
Thank you again to Leanne for such thoughtful and amazing gifts!
My Christmas beauty gifts
It's almost a tradition between my husband and I that we get each other perfumes for Christmas and he surprised me this year with Lancôme La Vie Est Belle that came in a set with matching candle and the most beautiful box that I will certainly reuse for something or even display it on my vanity. The perfume has a beautiful floral, warm and sensual scent and I'm loving it.
I always give to my husband a list of things I'd love to find under our Christmas tree and this year he picked the Laura Geller Lights Of Venice set which include 8 full size products together with their new Baked Balance -N- Glow Illuminating Foundation which looks absolutely beautiful on the skin.
Let me know if you'd like a review of the full set and I'll get that ready once I've tried everything out properly.
I was also lucky to receive some more beauty bits which I can't wait to test!
SensationNail Fuse Nail Gel Starter Kit contains everything you need to do at home manicure which is a hybrid between gel and traditional nail polish. I hope it will be a great alternative to salon manicure.
Clinique Pep-start Pep Me Up set which I'm super excited to try as I had the eye cream on my wish list for ages and there are also some other products that I will be happy to try.
How cute is this Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour and Primer minis set?! Just the tin is adorable :) Although I do usually prefer lipsticks with satin or matte finish sometimes is nice to switch things off so I'm excited to try these Pop Lacqueres.
How was your Christmas? Did you find any lovely presents under your Christmas tree?
Don't forget to check my lovely girls' blogs to see what they got for Christmas :)
PS. I'm still on my blogging break and will be back with my regular posting on the 5th January.
