Happy Monday guys! Let's hope this week will fly as quick as the weekend did :)
Not long ago I shared with you makeup products I've used up lately and it's now time to let you know which skincare and body care ones I managed to finish. Were they good enough to make me want to repurchase them? Let's find out!
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, £29.50 - this is almost a cult product amongst beauty enthusiasts, so I had to try it and I really liked it. I bought it about 9 months ago, used regularly at least 2 times a week and only finished it up 2, 3 weeks ago, so it's definitely a good value for money, even though it seems expensive at first. Enriched with vitamins and fruit enzymes, the gel-to-oil formula gently but deeply cleanses the skin whilst removing dead skin cells, it leaves my skin super soft and radiant without feeling tight and stripped from moisture. And it smells so nice!
Repurchase? Yes, I will definitely get it again.
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner, £15 - I bought this toner a few months ago as I wanted something hydrating and different from acid toners to use in the mornings. It suppose to balance skin's pH which is important for a healthy skin. It was definitely hydrating and made a nice step between cleansing and applying serum/moisturiser but I didn't notice any effects on my skin. I still prefer the Mario Badescu Facial Spray in terms of how much more hydrating it is.
Repurchase? No, it was a nice toner but nothing really good so it's not worth the price.
Super Facialist By Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil, £10.99 - I'm in love with this cleansing oil, lightweight, not greasy, it removes makeup easily and it smells absolutely divine! Infused with Vitamin C, Olive, Grapeseed and Rosehip oils leaves my skin very clean yet nourished. And it's very affordable!
Repurchase? Yes, I will definitely buy it again.
Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner, £11.89 - ever since I started using acid treatments almost 2 years ago I can't be without them and acid tonner is my daily skincare staple. I wanted to try some Korean skincare so I picked this toner by Cosrx because I read positive reviews about it and I liked the simple yet great ingredients list.
It was hard for me to see clear results of using this toner as I reach for more powerful chemical exfoliators on regular basis but I like to maintain the effect of glowing, clear skin by using daily something more gentle yet still effective. This toner was not drying at all and felt almost hydrating on the skin. It contains willow bark water and apple fruit water as main ingredients. The willow bark water, natural source of salicylic acid, has astringent and anti-inflammatory properties and helps to keep the pores clean and any breakouts at bay. There is also listed glycolic acid but the concentration is 0.1 % which is very low so probably it doesn't have a much of an exfoliating effect.
As for the packaging, I don't like the spray form, with this kind of acid toner I don't plan on spraying it all over my face, so I feel like it's pointless.
Repurchase? Possibly, in the future, there are other acid toners that are first on my 'to try' list.
Avene Physiolift Eyes, £22, currently on offer for £16.50 - I reviewed this eye cream a while back (review) and I really liked it, I used it on and off for 8 months and the skin around my eyes has become definitely smoother and plumper and my dark circles diminished significantly.
The PhysioLift range contains clinically proven active ingredients that are gentle on the skin but powerfully penetrate the skin to deep layers where they're needed to leave skin radiant, re-plumped, soft and smooth.
Repurchase? Yes, I have a few other eye creams that I want to try first but will certainly come back to this one.
Merumaya Mud Marvels Mask, £19.50 (50ml) - I had couple of samples of this face mask and managed to use it a good few times and every time I was impressed with the results. It contains not only activated charcoal and volcanic ash, along with purifying kaolin and bentonite, to deeply cleanse and detoxify skin but also AHAs to gently exfoliate. A complex of nourishing oils ensures that the skin doesn't feel tight or dry afterwards. My skin was always left very smooth, clean and radiant.
Repurchase? Yes, I definitely want a full size of this face mask.
Garnier Ultimate Blends Body Hydrating Lotion Marvellous Oils Argan & Camellia, £4.49, currently on offer in Boots for £2.99 - not very often I talk about body lotions on my blog as I find the subject quite boring considering I'm always buying the same ones but this Garnier offering deserves a mention because it's absolutely fantastic. Super hydrating, it absorbs in seconds, leaves my skin instantly nourished and it smells beautifully. And the pump dispenser is just the best!
Repurchase? Yes, absolutely!
nspa Uplifting and Revitalising Bergamot & Orange Blossom Shower Cream, £3 - I don't think I ever talked about shower gel in my empties posts because, again, I just use anything that is on offer in my local supermarket but every now and then I decide to pick something else and that's how I discovered this fantastic shower cream by nspa. It's a brand carried by Asda, so if you do your grocery shopping in there I urge you to check their range of body products. This shower cream feels so luxuriously hydrating and it smells amazing, you feel like in a spa and the scent actually lingers on my skin for a while. I rarely get excited by shower gels but this one is an exception, especially considering how cheap it is.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Concentrated Cream, £2.10 - I've used hundreds of tubes of this cream, I absolutely love it, for my hands and feet. It's very hydrating and nourishing and keeps my skin soft and supple, absolutely a must have for me, especially during colder months.
7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques and Sock Masques, £2.99 each - I got this masks for hands and feet in You Beauty box and didn't think much of them but one day decided to have a bit of pamper and absolutely loved them. Even though I use cream on my hands and feet every day the masks made a difference, my skin was plumped and supple and like after a good spa session, will be definitely treating myself to those more often.
