Last week I shared with you my review of the two new Zoeva palettes: Blanc Fusion and Caramel Melange which are both beautiful and pleasure to work with. But one shade, in particular, has caught mine attention, the bright yellow gold, from Blanc Fusion palette, which is very unique and different form anything I have in my extensive eyeshadow collection. So I decided to create a look with it and I think I managed to come up with something quite wearable :) And I really liked it!
The eyes would look beautiful with nude lips, or even red lipstick would complement them really nicely making it a very glamorous look. But I paired them with deep dusty rose and I loved the combination.
Without further ado let's get to the tutorial.
Primer: Hylamide Matte 12H, I really like this primer, it smoothes out my skin and help keeping my oils at bay but it's not super matte or drying.
Foundation: Vichy Dermablend in Nude, I reached for this foundation after not using it for a long time, if you want serious coverage but something that doesn't feel very heavy then this is the foundation for you.
Concealer: because the foundation covered most of the areas of my concern I only wanted to highlight under my eyes and the centre of my face so I used the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in shade Light.
Powder: I bought the RCMA No Colour Powder a long time ago when the hype about it was still fresh and liked it but the packaging was driving me mad so I put it deep in my makeup drawers but recently I dug it out and it's my current favourite powder to set my base products, it's undetectable on the skin yet it keeps my skin shine free for a long time and it extends my makeup wear time like no other powder. Highly recommend it!
Bronzer: I've been obsessed with the Hourglass Surreal Light Bronzer, from the palette, it looks very subtle and natural giving an illusion of lightly tanned skin. To contour lightly I reached for the Maison Jacynthe Bronzer in shade 01 Mattina* (review).
Blush: I used Surreal Glow from the Hourglass Surreal Light Edit palette (review), currently on offer in John Lewis.
Highlighter: Surreal Strobe from the Hourglass palette.
Primer: Concealer set with the RCMA powder makes a perfect long lasting base for me.
Eyeshadows: Zoeva Blanc Fusion palette
Eye pencil: Makeup Geek Full Spectrum Eye Pencil in Espresso
Eyeliner: Seventeen Lacquer Liner Wet Finish*
Mascara: Bourjois Volume Reveal
False lashes: Eylure Vegas Nay Easy Elegance*
Brows: Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in shade 03, really love this pencil, even better then the ABH Brow Definer, so easy to use, very long lasting and the shade seems perfect for my brows.
On my lips I used one of my favourite lip products ever, the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Frick 'n Frack, fantastic formula and beautiful shade.
And this is the finished look :)
I hope you enjoyed this makeup look and despite it being based on yellow eyeshadows you found it quite wearable :)
Do you like to reach for unusual colours for your eyes or prefer to stick to neutrals? Would you wear yellow? What's the boldest shade you have worn on your eyes?
