If you read my recent post on metallic lipsticks you know that I've been playing with them and, to my surprise, I actually enjoy wearing them. Granted, they're not my everyday lipstick choice but they're fun and make a statement. Today I'm sharing with you makeup look I created using one of my metallic liquid lipsticks not only for my lips but also for the eyes. It happened to be excellent as an eye liner :)
If you need some inspiration on what eye makeup to pair with your metallic lips then I hope you'll enjoy this makeup tutorial!
Foundation: Urban Decay All Nighter, shade 3.25, (review) mixed with a couple of drops of facial oil for better application, dewy looking skin and because that's the only way I can make this foundation work on my skin at the moment. I skipped the primer.
Concealer: Pixi Corrector to hide my under eye circles and Seventeen Wow! Skin concealer to highlight.
Powder: to set my under eyes I used Inglot HD Sculpting Powder and to set the rest of my face I dusted mix of Hourglass Dim and Diffused Light Ambient Lighting Powders.
Bronzer: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Luminous Bronze.
Blush: Urban Decay Hush from the Gwen Stefani palette.
Highlighter: Urban Decay Angel from the Gwen Stefani palette.
Primer: Benefit Air Patrol eyeshadow primer.
Eyeshadows: Makeup Geek: White Lies, Tuscan Sun and Bitten.
Eye liner: Morphe Gel Liner in Black and Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip in Man Eater.
Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious (not photographed).
False Lashes: Ardell Demi Wispies.
Brows: NYX Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade in Brunette.
The whole reason for this makeup look, Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip in Man Eater.
And this is the finished look :)
I had so much fun creating this makeup look, although, admittedly, I spent a long time on my duo-coloured wings, LOL! and there were many corrections before I was happy with how they looked.
But it's a great, statement makeup look for a party or evening out which I will be definitely re-creating in the future.
Let me know what do you think of this makeup look? What eye makeup would you pair with metallic lips?
