If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that I recently got some more Colourpop products, once you start trying out their lip products or eyeshadows it's hard to stop buying more, LOL! As soon as I swatched my new eyeshadow in shade Bae (seriously, is that even a word? I had to Google the meaning of it after hearing it everywhere a while back, haha!) I knew I had to create dark smokey eye look. Bae is a gorgeous aubergine shade with purple and blue sparkling flecks, it looks so dimensional that you don't need much else to have a gorgeous eye makeup in a few minutes.
I paired the eyes with mauve lips, another new Colourpop addition to my lipstick collection, but it would look as pretty with a nude shade.
Primer: Facetheory Ultraglide Primer, I've had this primer for a while but never used it properly so decided to take it out for the spin and I like it.
Foundation: Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in1 Foundation + Concealer, shade 04 medium beige, I've heard so many good things about this foundation so after being slightly disappointed with the new Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation (review) I decided to get this one and I'm glad I did because it might actually be one of the best foundations, at this price point, I've tried for a while, review coming soon.
Concealer: NYX HD Concealer, shade Light
Powder: Bourjois Healthy Balance, shade 52 Vanilla to set my foundation and the highlighting powder from the Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit* (review) to set my under eye concealer.
Bronzer: To lightly contour my cheek bones and nose I used Benefit Hoola Bronzer and to warm up my complexion I used the bronzer from the W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow Kit.
Highlighter: W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow Kit.
Blush: Benefit Dandelion
Eyeshadows: Makeup Geek: Cupcake, Curfew, Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Bae, Inglot Pigment in shade 51.
Eye pencil: PIXI Endless Silky Eye Pen in Deep Plum
Mascara: Mary Kay Lash Intensity Mascara*
False lashes: Ardell Demi Wispies
Brows: NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade in Brunette
Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Viper
And this is the finished look :)
As usual, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this makeup look :)
Do you like wearing dark smokey eyes? Do you pair them with statement or nude lips?
