I don't write "empties" posts often, in fact, the last time I published one it was November last year, lol! It doesn't mean that I don't use up any products because I certainly do, mainly skincare and body care, I even keep the empty bottles but it's hard for me to write about them as there is always something more exciting to share with my readers. Then I'm sick of all the trash around my bathroom and chuck all the empties in the bin. And then keep collecting them again :)
But today I'm being the good beauty blogger and will be sharing with you my thoughts on products that I managed to use up in the last few weeks.
Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Lotion with Pistachio Cream and Magnolia - I've said already many times on my blog that I use body lotion every single day and I go through them very quickly, so I usually don't want to spend lots of money on them but I still expect them to be great at moisturising my skin without leaving greasy residue or taking ages to be absorbed. Dove body lotions are one of my favourite from the drugstore, they're also often on offer so I always get them very cheap. This particular scent is super yummy and lingers for a bit on the skin, it also moisturises it really well and sinks in quickly.
Repurchase? - yes, I have a Garnier lotion on the go at the moment but I will surely repurchase Dove at some point.
Outdoor Hands Intense Skin Therapy Cream* - I received this cream couple of months ago and it's been a firm favourite within my hand care stash cause it really deeply moisturises and softens dry hands, perfect for anyone who works outdoors or just during cold weather when the skin on our hands take the beating. I also used it on my feet.
Repurchase? - I wish it was easily available in drugstore or grocery shop like other hand creams I like but I will definitely order it online after Summer to protect my hands from the cold.
Ren Vita Mineral Lip Balm - this is an excellent lip balm, it really was a life saver during Winter time, it deeply hydrated my lips and kept them soft.
Repurchase? - yes, I will definitely buy it again for Winter time.
Garnier Micellar Water - my favourite eye makeup remover, I usually buy the one in pink bottle but this one for Combination & Sensitive skin seems to be exactly the same for me.
Repurchase? - absolutely, I have already a new bottle one on my bathroom shelf.
Bravura London Revitalising Ginseng Tonner - I discovered Bravura London at the beginning of the year and ordered a few products from them and non of them disappointed me. This is a daily acid tonner, very similar to Pixi Glow Tonic. Because I use many other products with acids on regular basis it's hard for me to say how effective this toner is on its own but I like to use mild chemical exfoliation every day to keep my skin clear and glowy and this does the job perfectly. And we can't dismiss the pretty glass bottle, can we? :)
Repurchase? - right now I'm using another daily chemical exfoliant because I'm a beauty junkie and like to try different things but will certainly repurchase the Bravura offering in the near future.
Biotherm Aquasource Deep Serum - this brand is not easily available in UK, I bought a set of Biotherm skincare from US website ShopBXB some time last year and I thoroughly enjoyed them. This serum was really deeply hydrating, not irritating and it lasted a good few months of daily use.
Repurchase? - if it was available in UK I would certainly repurchase it cause it really worked well for my skin.
Sukin Hydrating Mist Tonner - it's the first product I've tried from this Australian natural skincare brand but, unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. I like to use a hydrating tonner in my skincare routine and usually pick a facial mist for this, my favourite being the one from Mario Badescu, last time I needed a new one I decided to pick something new and while I used up this Sukin offering I don't think it did anything good to my skin and it didn't feel hydrating at all.
Repurchase? - no, I'm back to my favourite Mario Badescu Facial Mist.
The Library Of Fragrance Sunshine - I really loved this warm and Summer-y scent which I talked about before in this post, I'm a big fan of this brand and I love their unique scents which you can layer to achieve your custom made fragrance, the longevity on my skin for this particular scent was also quite good considering it's only a cologne.
Repurchase? - maybe, although there are so many other scents from The Library Of Fragrance that I will probably get before repurchasing Sunshine.
Cheryl Storm Flower - I'm not usually a fan of celebrity fragrances but I loved the bottle and sound of this one so I ordered it when it was first released almost 2 years ago. I liked it but I didn't love it, it's a flowery scent but with a bit of freshness and spiciness to it.
Repurchase? - no, I didn't like it enough to have it again.
Calvin Klein Down Town - I'm a big fan of Calvin Klein fragrances, Eternity being my very first designer perfume and one of my all time favourites :) The Down Town is a completely different scent though, much warmer, a bit balmy and powdery but not sickly and it has really great longevity on my skin, I liked it.
Repurchase? - no, I have other perfumes that I like better then this one and so many new that I want to try.
Nina Ricci Nina Ricci - I love this scent, it's warm and cosy but at the same time girly and playful, it lingers on my skin for a long time and will always make me think of the time when my first son was born cause that's what I was using then.
Repurchase? - yes, this is my third bottle and I am sure not the last one as it's truly one of my favourite scents, I like to use it mostly during colder months so will wait a bit before purchasing a new bottle.
So that's it, these are the products that I used up recently and didn't end up throwing away the packaging, lol!
Have you tried anything from this bunch? Did you like it?
