In today's post I want to share with you simple and quick makeup look which is perfect for a sunny day or Summer evening. I've been enjoying wearing this kind of look for a while and I'm sure it will be one I would do on my holidays. While I won't be wearing much, if any, makeup during the day I know that for the evening I want to glam up a bit but at the same time I don't want to spend ages in front of the mirror instead of enjoying free drinks at the pool bar :)
For my eye look I used the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette which contains some beautiful warm toned shades, perfect for Summer.
Foundation - as it's a Summer evening simple makeup look I want to make it as quick as possible so I would normally skip my primer and apply a long lasting foundation directly on top of my moisturiser, my favourite at the moment is the Dior Star in shade Light Beige.
Concealer - again, to reduce the time spent doing my makeup I would avoid using corrector and concealer on top and just use one product that would hide any darkness under my eyes and highlight that area, I chose Maybelline Fit Me in shade 10.
Powder - to set my under eye concealer I used Inglot HD Contouring Powder in shade #503 and to set the rest of my face: Laura Geller Balance 'N Brighten Baked Foundation in shade Medium.
Bronzer - to add healthy looking Summery glow I applied bronzer from the W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow palette which I've been loving lately, for a simple and quick makeup look I normally skip contouring my face.
Blush, highlighter - Sephora blush in Romantic Rose which is a beautiful soft coral shade with matte finish and I topped it off with NYX Baked Blush in Foreplay which added nice and subtle sheen to my cheeks.
Primer - to prime my eye lids I used a tiny amount of concealer to cancel out any discoloration and visible veins on my eye lids.
Eyeshadows - Too Faced Sweet Peach palette.
Eye pencil - NYX Wonder Pencil in Light for my waterline.
Mascara - L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Feline.
Brows - Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wizz in Soft Brown.
False lashes - Ardell Demi Wispies.
1 - after priming my lids I applied shade White Peach all over my lid up to the brows using flat shader brush (Morphe M422).
2 - using fluffy blending brush (Morphe E28) I blended shade Candid Peach in and above my crease and also dusted it on my lid leaving the inner third part of my lid clear.
3 - I darkened up the outer corner and crease of my eye with shade Summer Yum using smaller blending brush (Zoeva 231).
4 - I lined my lash line with shade Talk Derby To Me using liner brush (Zoeva 317) which I then smudged it (Morphe E24) for a more smokey effect. I also lined outer half of my lower lash line with this shade.
5 - I smudged the lower lash line with shade Summer Yum using pencil brush (Morphe E24) and applied shade Luscious in my inner corner (with Zoeva 230) to highlight that part of my eye and add a bit of sparkle to the look.
6 - to finish off my eyes I applied mascara, added falsies which is totally optional and filled in my brows. All done in 10 minutes or so!
Summery makeup is mostly about bright lipsticks for me so I chose pinky coral shade which is one of my favourites for sunny days, Nars Audacious Lipstick in Natalie (perfect dupe/alternative to this expensive lipstick is NYX Matte Lipstick in Angel which you can see comparison swatches in this photo).
And this is the finished look :)
I really like doing this kind of look, simple, quick yet adds a bit of glamour to my face. Eyes are defined but not OTT so perfect for an evening and during the day. Coral lipstick is just perfect Summer option, in my opinion, it looks youthful and it brightens my face like no other while being still very wearable and requiring less maintenance then a red one for example.
Let me know your thoughts on this look and what is your favourite Summer makeup look?
