In three weeks I'll be relaxing on a Spanish beach of Costa Del Sol and, believe me, I can't wait for it! But in the meantime let me daydream of sandy beaches and turquoise waters :)
Today I am sharing with you makeup look that was inspired by one of the pictures of Malaga's beach that I came across when browsing the internet and planning our holidays.
Isn't it just dreamy?
I always have so much fun trying to choose the right colours for my eye makeup for the 'inspired by nature' posts and this time I ended up using again some of my Sleek palettes, Del Mar, Del Mar Vol.2 and Secret Garden as they all have some beautiful, colourful shades, perfect for any Summer inspired makeup looks.
Before applying eyeshadows I used white eye pencil all over my lid as a base for the pastel colours to appear more vibrant. I used a mix of white, blue, turquoise and teal eyeshadows on my upper lid with a bit of beige in the crease to help with the blending, I wanted my eye lid to reflect the sky and water from the picture.
Then on my lower waterline I applied brown eye pencil (Makeup Geek Full Spectrum Eye Pencil in Espresso which has amazing pigmentation and staying power) which I then smudged using forest green eyeshadow and blended the edges with bright green, I wanted my lower lid to reflect the palm trees.
Foundation - I've been following shopping my stash project and have been reaching mostly for those products that I'm planning on using up, so the Dior Star foundation in shade Light Beige has been in constant use but I actually really like it so it's not a sacrifice :)
Concealer - as usual, my trusty duo of Pixi Corrector and Bourjois Radiance Reveal in Light under my eyes to cover darkness and highlight the centre of my face.
Powder - to set my concealer I used Inglot HD Contouring powder in shade #503.
Bronzer/contour - Inglot HD Contouring powder in shade #508.
Blush - Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts.
Highlighter - Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Goddess Of Love.
Lip liner - Nyx Glide On Lip Pencil in Bedrose, I adore this rosy shade and the formula of these lip pencil is amazing, they're creamy, very pigmented and they stay on the lips for a long time without drying them out.
Lipstick - Nyx Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Push Up, I was excited to get some shades from this range but I don't like them, unfortunately, I find them very drying and they look a bit 'crusty' on my lips. It helps when they're applied on top of a lip liner but I still find them a bit uncomfortable to wear.
And this is the finished look :)
I hope I managed to put you in a good mood thinking of your Summer holidays or sunny days on the beach :)
Enjoy your weekend all!
