Today I'm sharing with you makeup look which will be perfect for the Bank Holiday weekend, a bit more dramatic but still wearable, great for an evening out or meeting with friends. If you've seen my collection of Makeup Geek eyeshadows you know that I got my hands on one of the new shades called Pillow Talk and as soon as it arrived I wanted to slap it all over my eyes, it's so beautiful!
I wasn't sure where I want to go with my makeup look I just knew I want the shade Pillow Talk as a centre of the attention, at the end I ended up with a bit of cat eye which, I think adds a bit of edge to the, otherwise, girly look.
So without further ado let's get to the makeup tutorial :)
Primer - following shopping my stash challenge I am trying to use the chosen products on everyday basis, so for my primer I used the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot which has been my favourite for months.
Foundation - Dior Star in 020 Light Beige, I've been really loving this foundation, so glad I re-discovered it in my stash.
Concealer - same as usual when I'm doing full coverage makeup, Pixi Under Eye Corrector and Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer in Light.
Powder - to set my concealer and the centre of my face I used the Inglot HD Contouring powder in shade 503.
Bronzer - to contour and lightly bronze my face I used Inglot HD Contouring powder in shade 508.
Blush - Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Baked Blush.
Highlighter - Makeup Revolution Goddes Of Love Baked Highlighter.
Primer - a bit of concealer set with powder.
Eyeshadows - Makeup Geek: White Lies, Cupcake, Curfew, Pillow Talk.
Eye Pencil - Urban Decay Eye Pencil in Vice.
Eye liner - Kat Von D Tatoo Liner in Trooper.
Mascara - L'Oreal Vollume Million Lashes Feline, it has been my 'go to' mascara in the last couple of months, I really like it!
False Lashes - Ardell Demi Wispies.
Brows - Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wizz in Soft Brown, I've finally got one of the cult brow products and, just like I thought it might happen when ordering online, the shade is slightly too warm for my liking but I think I can make it work with my red-ish hair.
1 - after priming my eyes and dusting White Lies all over the lid up to the brows I applied Cupcake in and above my crease almost touching the from of my brows.
2 - using my finger I applied shade Pillow Talk on my lid.
3 - next I defined my outer corner and crease using shade Curfew and small blending brush.
4 - I lined my upper lashes with black eye liner and created a wing. I also applied purple eye pencil on my waterline and lower lash line.
5 - I smudged the lower lash line using shade Curfew and then blended it out with Cupcake.
6 - to finish off the eye makeup I created a small cat eye wing in the inner corner of my eye, applied mascara and false lashes and filled in my brows.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Marvelous Mauve - the formula of this liquid lipstick is amazing, it doesn't feel drying at all but it can easily last throughout the whole meal, I wish I ordered more shades when placing my last Sephora order.
And that's the finished look :)
Hope you enjoyed this makeup look and got inspired to play with your makeup over the weekend!
Have a great Bank Holiday weekend everyone!
