Zoeva is one of my favourite brands, I love their brushes, adore eyeshadows and I was also impressed by some other makeup items I've tried from them. Every time they bring out new products I get excited and have to try something. Not long ago they launched Spectrum range consisted of eyeshadow and blush palettes (check my review of Cool Spectrum palette) and last week a new Rose Golden set of brushes which is absolutely stunning and Rose Golden Blush Palette (£13) which I'm going to talk about today.
The beauty world have gone crazy for 'rose golden' packaging and Zoeva has been right on the trend with their latest releases. The palette is made of hard, sturdy cardboard in a beautiful shade of rose gold and simple details on the front. Just like other Zoeva palettes it's sleek and easy to store or travel with.
The powders are produced without the use of Parabens, Phtalates, Mineral Oils or fragrance and are made in Italy.
Inside the palette there are three powder products, each 3.5g, bronzer, highlighter and blush.
The first time I swatched the products I was slightly disappointed as the bronzer seemed a bit dry and not pigmented enough and the highlighter and blush very shimmery. But after I used them with brushes on my face I changed my mind as they blend and look beautifully. The shimmery shades are not glittery in the slightest and they just leave a sheen/glow on the skin. They last on me about 8-9 hours without fading or getting patchy.
Heavy Crown - the bronzing/contouring shade, medium neutral brown, great for contouring and lightly bronzing the face, it's not very pigmented and requires a bit of building to achieve visible results on my skin tone. I don't think people with darker complexion could use this bronzer as it just wouldn't show on their skin but those with fair skin tones should really enjoy it if they like their bronzer/contour not to be very intense.
Glowing Still - highlighter, although it looks stark white in the pan it has golden iridescent hue that reflects the light beautifully. It's buttery soft and extremely pigmented so a light hand is needed with it. I like to use it with a fan brush and build the intensity slowly. It gives a golden sheen to the skin that would look very pretty on many skin tones.
Palace Door - blush, peach toned rose gold shade with beautiful, quite intense, sheen. Because I usually go for matte, semi-matte foundations I love blushes that add glow to my cheeks without going OTT with highlighters. For a daytime makeup I 'd use the blush alone but for an evening I would definitely pair it with the highlighter on the tops of my cheeks as they complement each other beautifully. I think this blush would suit many skin tones and for darker ones it would make a gorgeous rose gold highlighter.
Here I'm wearing the products on my cheeks, with just an everyday, minimal makeup.
Overall, I think that this is a beautiful cheek palette with some unique highlighter and blush shades which would suit many people. My only slightly negative note is on the bronzer which is not very pigmented and definitely suited more to those with fair/light complexion. Having said that I'd still recommend the palette as for the price you get high quality highlighter and blush which is just stunning and doubles up as a beautiful eyeshadow.
