I'm sure I don't need to introduce you to Charlotte Tilbury, probably every beauty enthusiast knows the brand, owns some of their luxurious products or lusts after them. I had been wanting to try something from the brand for ages but, somehow, I hadn't got anything until last week when Charlotte Tilbury released two new shades of her lipsticks. A few weeks back she announced a competition on brand's social media to choose a name for the new shade she was bringing out, which I think was such a nice idea and one that drew my attention instantly to those new lipsticks. The winning name is Between The Sheets and belongs to the new shade, described as vintage rose petal, from the Matte Revolution range. As much as I love the name and the lipstick looks beautiful I don't think it would suit me (problem of online orders) so I opted for the second shade (which was also named by one of Charlotte Tilbury followers), Kiss Chase (£23), described as tawny berry hue, from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range.
I ordered my lipstick directly from Charlotte Tilbury website and it arrived the very next day despite me paying only for the standard delivery, I was very impressed. The product was beautifully wrapped in a purple tissue paper and I got two samples with my purchase (which I was able to choose). I will be definitely ordering from them in the future.
Of course, like all Charlotte Tilbury products, the lipstick oozes luxury, from the outer packaging to the gorgeous rose gold bullet to the formula.
I adore the shade I chose, it's a deep dusty rose with berry undertones, something I usually go for and although I have similar shades (Mac Craving for example) nothing is exactly like it. The formula of this lipstick is amazing, very creamy but not overly so as it slips around, the pigmentation is impressive and so the lasting power considering it's not a matte or described as a long lasting lipstick. I usually apply a thin layer on my lips, blot it with a tissue and then apply another thin layer, this way I'm sure that any lipstick will last longer. I wore Kiss Chase on a few occasions already and it didn't need to be re-applied for 4-5 hours even with some eating and drinking involved, it also made my lips feel comfortable and hydrated. The lipstick wears off evenly and I didn't noticed any bleeding outside the lip line.
As you have probably guessed, I'm very impressed with my first Charlotte Tilbury purchase and I can't wait to get some other products. I tried a sample of the Magic Foundation and loved it so that might be next on my shopping list.
Let me know if you have any favourite Charlotte Tilbury products and what can you recommend to me.
