Since getting the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette (review) for Christmas I've been obsessed with creating this healthy, luminous complexion that looks so good, especially during Winter when my skin is a bit dehydrated and is lacking in the 'healthy glow' department despite being the combination/oily type. So today I want to share with you Winter makeup look with cool tones on the eyes, glowy skin and berry lips which I'm still obsessed with.
To create my perfect glowy canvas for the rest of the makeup I started with Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot primer because even though I want glow I certainly don't want oil and as my skin tends to get a bit oily throughout the day a good primer that keeps the oils at bay is a must.
Then I applied a pea sized amount of Seventeen Wow! Skin Highlighter all over my face to add a bit of luminosity to my skin before applying Vichy Dermablend foundation which has a great coverage and serious staying power.
To cover my under eye circles I used the Maybelline Eye Eraser concealer in Light and set it lightly with my Inglot HD setting powder #503. I set the rest of my face with a mixture of Dim and Diffused Light from the Hourglass palette, on a daily basis I would use a more mattifying powder to set my foundation and then I would lightly dust the Dim Light all over my face for very subtle glow but in this makeup look I wanted more obvious luminosity to my skin.
I wanted to keep the makeup quite cool toned so I didn't bronze my face, just lightly contoured using Inglot HD Contouring Powder.
To add healthy flush of colour to my cheeks I applied Hourglass Luminous Flush blush (the middle bottom row shade) and added Iridescent Light highlighter to the tops of my cheeks to pop them more.
After priming my eyes with concealer I applied shade Stitch By Stitch to my entire lid up to the brows to set the concealer and as a base for the rest of eyeshadows. Then I blended Hour By Hour in and above my crease as a transition shade. On my whole eyelid up to the crease I applied Sheers and Voiles and then darkened up the outer corner and crease with shade Exquisite. To define the eye a bit more I added Old Master just to the very outer corner. I applied Old Master to my lower lash line and smoked it out using Exquisite. To highlight the inner corners of the eye I applied Irridescent Light from the Hourglass palette.
To finish off the eyes I lined my upper lashes with Morphe black gel liner creating a little wing, applied Eye Of Horus Goddess Mascara to my lashes and added Ardell Demi Wispies false lashes.
To fill in my brows I used the Inglot Brow Pomade in the shade #16.
To finish off the look I used Nars Audacious Lipstick in Vivien which I'm obsessed! It's such a beautiful berry shade and perfect for Winter in my opinion.
And this is the finished look :)
Let me know what do you think of this makeup look.
I like this combo of cool toned eyes, berry lips and glowy skin and it's been one of my favourite looks recently.
Do you have a favourite makeup look to wear during Winter?
Have a lovely weekend!
