Prior to trying the Irresistible Me Hair Extensions I had never tried any other brands or had any desire to do so. I am happy with my hair, their volume, thickness and if I make the effort of properly styling them, they look quite nice, if I say so myself, so I never had the need of adding extensions.
Although I like to keep my hair quite short (arm length is the longest I've had in years) sometimes I'd love to have long, sexy waves. So when the Irresistible Me brand got in touch asking if I want to try their extensions I didn't jump at the chance immediately but after a few days I though 'why not', I wouldn't have probably try it otherwise. So today I want to share with you my thoughts on the hair extensions I got and pictures of me wearing them.
Irresistible Me have in their offer many different clip-in hair extensions depending on the style or thickness of hair you're looking for (the price also depends on these factors). Their hair extensions are made of Remy human hair which are considered to be highest quality hair because the cuticles are kept intact and not stripped, like in most other non-Remy hair extensions which ensures that the extensions are completely natural in appearance, hair remains super soft, shiny, silky and completely tangle-free throughout its lifetime. Because it's human hair you can dye it, style it and wash it just like your natural hair.
You can choose the colour, thickness and length of your extensions depending on your preferences. I chose Royal Remy (premium line of clip-in hair extensions), 16inch, 140g in the shade Rosewood which seemed to resemble the shade of my dyed hair perfectly. And it did when I freshly dyed my hair but right now, after about 6 weeks, the extensions are not matching my hair colour but because I am not planning to dye my hair in the next 4 weeks or so I've decided to review the extensions anyway without delaying the post any longer. Please, excuse me as I did not take the pictures when the shades were matching each other much better.
The first thing that impressed me immediately when I received my chosen extensions (after a very quick and smooth delivery from US) was the quality of the hair. They look and feel like real, healthy hair. The extensions come in a few different sizes wefts which can be styled all together or you can add just some of them if that's enough for you. The clips are really small and they attach to your natural hair perfectly and stay there till you decide to remove them. On the day of testing the extensions I wore them for about 6 hours and non of the wefts fell out or slipped, even though my boys were curiously touching mummy's new hair, lol!
As I mentioned already I had never worn extensions before so I was expecting the whole process of adding them to my hair quite complicated but it's actually very easy. You just need to section your hair where you want the extensions to be, clipped them in and that's it! I also tried to curl the extensions a bit and they were easy to do so and they didn't get tangled.
As you can see on the photos the extensions don't match my hair colour but it's an easy thing to fix if I dye my hair or the extensions. Apart from that they blended with my hair very well and looked natural. As I am not used to wearing extensions I did feel a bit strange having them in my hair and they felt a bit heavy at first but after an hour or so I barely remembered I have them in.
I have to admit that hair extensions is not something I'm willing to wear often, I like to run my fingers through my hair without touching the clips or worrying about accidentally removing one weft and I don't feel the need for extra hair. But if, one day, I'd like to change my hair style for a special occasion then I might actually reach for the extensions to add extra glamour to my hair.
If you're looking for great quality hair extensions that won't break the bank then I highly recommend checking the Irresistible Me range.
