Freedom Makeup Pro12 'Dreamcatcher' palette - review and swatches

It's been a while since I dedicated a whole post to a single palette but this one, I think, truly deserves it :) 12 shades with amazing pigmentation, great to work with, for only £4!
You could see in my Freedom Makeup haul that I bought two Pro12 eyeshadow palettes, one of them being the Dreamcatcher. It's definitely not your everyday neutral palette but one that is fantastic to play with colour and, considering how affordable it is, everyone who loves eyeshadows should have it in their collection.

Makeup makeover #1 Subtle daytime glam

Today, instead of my usual Friday makeup look post, I'm bringing you my first makeup makeover done on my beautiful friend Jo. I like to see makeovers on other blogs so I thought it would be fun to add this feature on my blog. It won't be a weekly occurrence, maybe monthly, depending on how eager my friends will be to model for me :) I'm not a makeup artist and I rarely get the chance to practice doing makeup on someone else's face but when it does happen it's lots of fun.
I've done makeup on my friend a few times before and she liked it but we never got around to taking any pictures but this time we decided to share with you the final result :)

I have fallen for Origins skincare

Origins is a brand I've heard lots of good things about but hadn't tried any of their products until a few months ago and I have to say that once I got my hands on one of them it was love at first use. Since then I've tried a few more products and I love all of them so decided to share with you my thoughts on them.

My experience at the makeup course with Freedom Makeup and House of GlamDolls

In my recent Freedom Makeup haul I mentioned that the brand is offering short makeup courses in collaboration with House of GlamDolls, makeup school in London created by David Horne, makeup artist with 25 years experience in the makeup industry, who has held managerial roles at Mac and Illamasqua and Chinyee Chu, creative director with 15 years in the industry.
I was invited to attend one of the available courses and as weekend is the best option for me I went there last Saturday.

Makeup look #22 Pretty in pink, feat. Freedom Makeup Audacious 3 palette

On Monday I shared with you my Freedom Makeup haul and today I want to show you makeup look which I created using some of the products. For my eyes I used the Pro12 Audacious 3 palette which is a clear 'dupe' for Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. After rather dramatic, evening look I shared with you last week, I thought it would be just fair to do something more wearable during the day this time. So I went with nice, romantic pink tones which complement everyone and add fresh glow to our face.

Trialling some KIKO products

A few weeks ago I shared with you all the beauty products I bought while meeting my two blogging friends, Pam and Brenda. Amongst them were some bits from KIKO which I want to show you today and share my thoughts on them. Even though we spent ages in the shop browsing through all the makeup I only got a few things, mostly eyeshadows (surprised much?), basically things that were different from anything in my makeup collection.

Freedom Makeup haul and first impressions

If you're a fan of Makeup Revolution and you follow them on social media then you're probably aware that a new sister brand has launched very recently, Freedom Makeup, created by the same people and focused on professional makeup with great quality at affordable prices, #macformasses, like they liked to hashtag their Instagram posts :)
I was very excited when the launch date was approaching and we could see some sneak peeks on Instagram of their products. Professional makeup products at low prices? Yes, please!
So when they finally launched couple of weeks ago it was only expected that I'm going to order some products straight away.

Makeup look #21 Garden of Eden

Since falling back in love with Sleek eyeshadow palettes I added a few more to my collection, Garden of Eden being one of them. This is a stunning palette with greens, mauve browns and purples, one of the best from Sleek in terms of quality. Most of the shades are extremely pigmented and the metallic ones feel super creamy, almost like foil eyeshadow. All of them perform really well on the eyes, starting from the way they blend to the longevity of the makeup.
I'm in love with this palette! So of course I had to share with you a makeup look created with it.

Zoeva makeup haul

Zoeva has quickly become my favourite brand for great quality yet affordable makeup brushes and beautiful eyeshadow palettes. Since falling in love with pigmentation and formula of eyeshadows from the Love is A Story palette I started adding other palettes to my collection. And before you comment or ask, yes, I don't need them but I want them, all :)
The Zoeva palettes have beautiful packaging, even though card board, it's sturdy, sleek and elegant. All the palettes have different theme to them and I love the selection of shades and their names in every one of them. The formula of eyeshadows is amazing and is on par with high end ones. And on top of that Zoeva states that 'use by date' of their eyeshadows is 36 months since starting using the palette which is unusual, because most of my other palettes have the 12 months period, and even though I will most definitely keep them for longer, I feel better collecting the Zoeva palettes knowing that I can safely use them for the next few years.
When a few weeks ago Zoeva announced a new Cocoa Blend palette I knew straight away that I will have to have because it's just gorgeous. So on the day of its launch, yes, I'm that sad, I ordered it with a few more things to get to try other makeup from the brand.

Become a #SKINCHECKER this Summer

When the new #SKINCHECKER campaign by La Roche-Posay was introduced to me I knew immediately that I want to share it on my blog, firstly, because it's so important to help raising the awareness of skin cancer and secondly, the campaign video is too cute not to share :)
Skin cancer is the only cancer visible to the naked eye and, if diagnosed early enough, 90% of Melanoma (skin cancer) cases can be treated effectively. So to encourage people to check their skin, their moles and prevent skin cancer, La Roche-Posay have created this adorable video which is a 'share and care' campaign and ask people to join #skincheckers worldwide.

Makeup look #20 Makeup Revolution 'Affirmation' palette

Makeup Revolution is a brand I really like for good quality and very affordable makeup so when I got the opportunity to test and review their latest eyeshadow palette 'Affirmation' I didn't hesitate a second as you know my obsession with eyeshadows :)
I have reviewed many other Makeup Revolution palettes (for example here, here, here) and the quality is always there so there is no surprise I like the Affirmation palette as well. This time I decided to quickly go through the review and swatches and show you the makeup look I created with this palette.

Kiss Cosmetics 'Volumetric Lust' mascara

If you're a regular reader of beauty blogs you probably have noticed a new UK brand on the market, it's Kiss Cosmetics who launched their first lip product Kisstick by the end of April. Since then they have released some other products and keep bringing more. I've had the pleasure to test the newest addition to their range, the Volumetric Lust mascara, due to launch on Kiss Cosmetics website on the 10th of June.
