Friday makeup look #4 Marsala - Colour of the Year 2015

Hello!
If you're a makeup enthusiast and watch beauty videos you should have known by now that the colour of the year 2015 according to Pantone Colour Institute is Marsala, described as "a naturally robust and earthy wine red". I've seen already some makeup tutorials focused on this colour and decided to do my own version of it. The colour itself, red-ish brown/burgundy, is beautiful and I've been loving it for a long time. But then when it came to choosing the right shades for my eyes, cheeks, lips I didn't get that many options. Some of the shades I was thinking of, were either too brown or too berry looking, but after searching my makeup collection I settled on the products that I think represent the Marsala shade the best.

My most used eye makeup brushes

essential eye makeup brushes

Hello!
As a makeup lover and eye shadow junkie who wears them nearly every single day my collection of eye makeup brushes has been growing steadily over the past year or so but I've noticed that no matter how many different brushes I own I seem to reach for the same ones every time I do my makeup. I don't own high end brushes, but I do have a wide range of more budget friendly ones, like Zoeva, Ecotools, e.l.f., Real Techinques which do their job just good enough.
Today I want to share with you eye makeup brushes that I use the most and which, in my opinion,  are really great.

Friday makeup look #3 Winter blues...

Hello!
Blue eye shadow is not our first choice when it comes to makeup, in fact many people stay clear from it being a reminder of all the makeup mistakes we used to make when we were much younger (bright blue all over the lid anyone, lol). The scary memories aside I like to experiment with all colours on my eyes and last weekend, while looking through my eye shadow palettes, this beautiful metallic blue shade from Urban Decay Vice 3 palette (review) called mine name :) Its name is Freeze and it was actually a very cold day indeed, so I thought that I'm going to create an eye look inspired by a Winter, frosty day.

Makeup Revolution I ♡ Makeup 'I am...' palettes collection - review and swatches

Hello!
Today I want to share with you my review and swatches of yet another, or rather four, eye shadow palettes. I know, I know, I have way too many palettes but you have to bare with me, eye shadow palettes are my biggest weakness, I get very excited by them and if I could I would probably collect them all.
Last time I was placing a Makeup Revolution order, I checked their palettes selection, as usual, and when I saw this bundle of 4 little palettes for only £10 I couldn't resist. I like Makeup Revolution eye shadows, I think they're great quality, especially considering how cheap they are and the amount of palettes they have is incredible! Granted there are some repeated shades so if you own many palettes from Makeup Revolution you will have some similar/the same shades but if you are new to them or a junkie, just like me, you'd love these little palettes. There are four in the collection: I am Powerful, I am Sexy, I am in Love and I am Naked. You can buy them individually, £4.99 each or in the bundle, currently on offer only £10. The packaging is simple black plastic but sturdy and sleek. Inside there is a little mirror which is always handy if you travel with these palettes or want to touch up your makeup on the go. Also there is a small sponge applicator included (anyone actually using them?).

And you just dream to get your hands on them. These three products I want to talk about today are definitely very well known in the beauty world and it seems like everyone tried them and loves them.
So what do I think of them? Are they worth the hype?

Friday makeup look #2 Going green...

Hello!
Last week I asked if any of you have any suggestions for my series of makeup looks and the lovely Alina from Beauty with charm proposed eye makeup look using green or burgundy eye shadows. As I never use green shades for my eyes the idea of green eye makeup sounded great and challenging so I went straight to my dressing table to rummage through my eye shadows. Admittedly I don't own too many green eye shadows but have found some gorgeous ones in Makeup Revolution palette 'Eyes like Angels' (review). So the green eye makeup look has been created and even though I always thought that green doesn't go well with my eye colour I actually really liked it and recreated the very next day.

Milani baked blushes: Luminoso and Bella Rosa - review and swatches

Hello!
After buying my first Milani lipsticks a few months ago and falling in love with them (review here) I decided to try more products from the much loved in America brand. You can find a wide variety of their products on Comedic UK website. Today I want to share with you my new found love for Milani baked blushes. I chose two completely different shades and finishes, matte Bella Rosa and shimmery Luminoso.
The packaging of these blushes is plastic but sturdy with secure closure and it doesn't actually look very cheap in my opinion. Underneath the blush there is a little mirror and a tiny brush for touch ups but I don't think the brush is good enough for applying any blush.

The 'Me Time' Tag

Hello!
Today is Sunday and for many of us it's a lazy day and perfect to pamper ourselves, at least that's what I like to do on Sunday afternoon/evening. So I decided to do a very appropriate tag to let you know how I like to spend my 'me time'. I was tagged by my blogging friend Alina who is such a lovely lady and runs an amazing blog and if you are not following her already I urge you to do so as you won't be disappointed :)

Friday makeup look #1 feat. Makeup Revolution 'Girl Panic' palette

Hello!
Welcome to my new series of makeup looks :) Every Friday I will try to give you some inspiration for an evening out or weekend makeup. Normally on weekends we all tend to have more time on our hands and can experiment more and spend longer in front of the mirror. Well, that's what happens to me anyway :)
I enjoyed so much creating and sharing with you my festive looks and it seems like many of you liked them too (thank you so much to everyone of you who supports me and takes time to read and comments on my blog), so decided to make this kind of posts a permanent feature. Hopefully you'll enjoy them and I will get more creative!
Without further ado let me start on today's makeup look which was based on my latest Makeup Revolution 'Girl Panic' palette (review here).

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Anti-Blemish System - review

Effaclar anti-blemish system

Hello!
La Roche-Posay is a brand I started exploring only last year but quickly has become one of my favourite ones for skincare products. Everything I've tried I really liked (reviews here, here and here). At the beginning of 2014 I bought Effaclar K (review here) which is a light moisturiser aimed at oily skin to help to unclog pores and even out skin tone. I loved it so much I repurchased when the first tube finished. After about 5 months of using Effaclar K I decided to stop it and try something else, you know, sometimes you just want to experiment with different products to see if there is anything better. Well, I haven't found anything that can replace Effaclar.
So when I was asked if I want to try the new Effaclar Anti-blemish System I didn't hesitate because I knew that I love this range already.

My 2014 top favourite beauty products

2014 beauty favourites

Hello!
First of all, happy New Year to you all! The 2015 has already started and we have the whole year ahead of us. I'm not the one for New Year's resolution but I like the feeling of new beginning and like most of us I have plans, dreams and ambitions for the next months and feel excited about the future.
Even though I enjoyed a lot the festive period I'm glad it's over and I'm looking forward to getting back on track with my everyday life and blogging.

I love reading beauty favourites on other blogs so decided to join the trend and share with you my top beauty products of 2014. It was a very hard task to pick them as the previous year was a very special for me in terms of trying new beauty products. Since joining the blogging world my obsession with makeup and skincare has become nearly uncontrollable :) I have tried so many products, many of them great, some very average and a few quite disappointing. I was thinking how should I pick the top beauty products of last year and decided that I will share with you those who became my holy grails, those which I've already repurchased or will in the future and can't be without.
So let me introduce you to my top favourite 2014 beauty products!
