With Christmas Day being exactly one week from today I decided to share with you the makeup look I will be most likely wearing that day. And it's a classic look with red lips playing the main role, I know, you've seen hundreds of those looks but I feel like Christmas just calls for sparkly eyes and red lips. Don't you think?
I have created rather Christmassy look a few weeks ago using Urban Decay Vice 4 palette (review) with quite bold, green eye makeup and red lips (check it out here) but today my eyes are neutral and the focus is on the red lipstick I'm wearing. The classic Hollywood glam look.
Primer - Payot My Payot Super Base
Foundation - Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Deauville, I started using it again after a few months break when my skin was too tanned for it and I am really enjoying it as I'm not having any dry patches at the moment (you can read my review here).
Concealer - Maybelline Age Rewind in Light
Powder - Bourjois Healthy Balance in 53 Beige Clair, to set my foundation and concealer, this shade is ever so slightly too dark for me but as the Nars foundation is half the shade too light they both work great together.
Bronzer/contour - Benefit Hoola bronzer
Highlighter - The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer, I forgot to photographed it but I did use it on the tops of my cheeks for some extra luminosity :)
Blush - Benefit Sugarbomb
Brows - Inglot Brow Pomade in shade 16
Eyeshadow primer - Freedom Makeup Pro Eye Primer
Eyeshadows - Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made palette (review)
Eye pencil - Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Eye Liner in Black
Mascara - Eye Of Horus Goddess Mascara
False Lashes - Tanya Burr Lashes 'Pretty Lady'
I tried to keep my eyes quite simple but elegant at the same time. I applied Treasure all over my lid, then blended Sherbert in to my crease. I darkened my outer V (outer corner and crease) using Hot Chocolate on a small tapered brush, then I lined my upper lashes with ABH eyeshadow in Noir and created a small wing which then I smoked out using mix of Noir and Hot Chocolate on a pencil brush. After all this steps I applied Treasure with a dampened brush to intensify the shade and shimmer. I lined my waterline and lower lash line with black pencil and smoked it out with a clean smudging brush, then I blended it out with Hot Chocolate using pencil brush. The inner corner of my eye I highlighted with Mary Lou-Manizer.
For my lips I used my new favourite red lipstick, the Dior Diorific Mat in the shade 750 Fabuleuse (review).
And this is the finished look.
Hope you enjoyed my Christmas Day/ party glam makeup look! Let me know what kind of makeup are you planning to wear on Christmas Day.
