Zoeva is one of my favourite makeup brands, I love their brushes and I adore their makeup line, especially the eyeshadow palettes. I think their eyeshadows are amazing quality, right next to Urban Decay or Too Faced but definitely more affordable. I have no shame in admitting that I own all Zoeva palettes, and there is not one that disappointed me, so when the brand released their latest En Taupe palette (£15.50) I just had to have it. Apart from being an eyeshadow palettes hoarder I genuinely love taupe shades on my eyes so I was excited to have a palette focused on this colour theme.
As usual with Zoeva palettes the packaging is made of thick cardboard, sturdy and very sleek, with the design matching the theme of the palette. There are 10 eyeshadows in the palette, each weighs 1.5g so you get a good amount of product for your money, they don't contain Parabens, Mineral Oil, Phtalates or fragrances, are enriched with Vit. E and made in Italy. Zoeva doesn't test their products on animals.
En Taupe palette contains range of cool toned shades, with matte, satin and shimmer finish, all of them are highly pigmented, silky soft, they blend beautifully and last on my eyes up to 10 hours without creasing. Comparing this palette to the previous Zoeva palette, the Cocoa Blend, En Taupe looks quite bland and boring but I think it's the perfect everyday palette for a subtle, elegant eye makeup that doesn't require too much effort and time. The palette has everything you need, the matte highlight/base shade, your crease shades, darker shades to deepen the outer corners and all over the lid shades that look just great on their own. I've used all the colours at this point and they all perform really well. Even though the En Taupe palette seems like a muted, day palette you can easily create an evening makeup look with these shades.
Stitch By Stitch - matte off-white colour, perfect for brow bone highlight and to set eye primer/concealer, or as a base shade.
Handmade - duo-chrome peach with golden shift, absolutely stunning all over the lid or as an inner corner highlight.
Gallery - taupe grey with lilac undertones and matte finish.
Hour By Hour - pale dusty pink with matte finish.
Old Master - matte grey with golden micro-glitter.
Spun Pearl - frosty silver-y white with pearl finish.
Sheers & Voiles - duo-chrome light grey taupe with pink-ish shift to it.
Outline - taupe bronze with shimmery finish, gorgeous all over the lid for an effortless gorgeous eye look.
Wrapped In Silk - taupe with lilac undertones, shimmery finish, another stunning shade to wear on its own.
Exquisite - plum with matte finish, it's not as pigmented as I wish it to be but it's easily buildable.
As you can see all the colours are quite muted but I like that they're all so easy to put together on a busy morning and you don't have to spend ages to blend them away as they're not crazy intense. I think the En Taupe palette is quite unique on the market and if you like cool toned eyeshadows you should definitely consider getting it as the quality is undoubtedly great.
