Too Faced is bringing the cutest packaging for their Holidays sets, I know, what's inside matters the most but how can you resist adorable, girlie, Paris themed boxes? Right!? If you haven't checked my review of the Le Grand Chateau you should definitely do it and fall in love with it :)
Today I'm excited to share with you the Melted French Kisses set (£22) which includes 4 deluxe sample sizes of Too Faced Melted Lipsticks. These lip products are not new to the beauty market but are completely new to me. I meant to try the Melted Lipsticks but as Too Faced wasn't readily available in UK I never got around to buy any. So when I saw this set and checked the shades that are included I knew it was the perfect opportunity to give these lipsticks a go.
Inside the cutest box ever there are 4 deluxe samples (5ml each) of Melted Lipsticks in Chihuahua, Berry and Melted Metal Lipsticks in Peony and Macaron which are the newest addition to the range. Each lipstick's packaging reflects the shade, although I find the melted Chihuahua not exactly accurate.
All of these lipsticks have a velour, foot doe -like applicator which is precise enough to use it directly on your lips. The formula of Melted Lipsticks is a cross between liquid and traditional creamy lipstick, it applies like a liquid one but feels as comfortable as your creamy lipstick in a bullet form.
The pigmentation of all these 4 shades is intense and they apply easily on the lips leaving opaque finish in a matter of few swipes. They don't settle in lines or accentuate dry skin and wear off very evenly. The Melted Metals are a bit sheerer and last a shorter time on the lips then the original Melted Lipsticks which are crazy pigmented and last up to 6 hours if not heavy eating is involved. They won't survive a greasy burger or three course meal but drinks and snacks are totally not a danger, they do transfer lightly to cups, etc. though.
Metallic Peony - soft nude pink with metallic golden finish, I think it's gorgeous and it will be a great shade for Spring or any romantic makeup look.
Chihuahua - dusty rose nude with brown undertones, excellent pigmentation and formula.
Metallic Macaron - neon blue based pink with metallic finish, it's a bit on a sheer side comparing to the other shades which makes it actually much more wearable, this shade tends to settle a bit in fine lines.
Berry - gorgeous deep raspberry with purple undertones, intensely pigmented and leaves a stain behind so even when it's wearing off you're not left with bare lips. With this shade I like to use lip liner as it tends to bleed slightly.
I am quite impressed with formula of the Melted Lipsticks, and I adore how cute they look all together, (hence the million of photos)! I'm thinking of getting the Melted Fig next as it looks like a gorgeous mauve purple, perfect for this time of year.
Have you tried Too Faced Melted Lipsticks? Which shade is your favourite?
