Makeup look #30 Autumnal berries using Sleek 'Enchanted Forest' palette

A few weeks ago I bought the latest Sleek palette 'Enchanted Forest' and even though I certainly don't need more eyeshadows, the selection of shades in this palette drew me in, I think they're beautiful and very A/W appropriate ( check my review for swatches). Today I want to share with you one of the makeup looks I've created using this palette and seeing as we're truly in Autumn right now I paired it with berry/plummy lips, my favourites at this time of year.

Face
Foundation - Max Factor Miracle Match Foundation in Beige, I've been testing quite a few new foundation lately as I haven't been entirely happy with those that I have in my collection that match my post-Summer skin at the moment. This, unfortunately, is a bit too light for me (I'm so bad at choosing the perfect matching shade of foundation, most of the time I get it too light, is it just me doing that??) but it gives a beautiful finish so I'm excited to test it out properly when it matches me better.
Concealer - Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Eye Eraser in Light to hide under eye dark circles and highlight the area under my eyes, centre of my forehead and the bridge of my nose.
Powder - L'Oreal True Match in Golden Ivory to set my foundation.
Contour - Inglot HD Contouring Powders to set my under eye concealer and to contour lightly my face.

Eyes
Brows - Inglot Prow Pomade #16, I was scared of the brow pomades and never bought the cult ABH one but once I've tried the Inglot alternative I have to say that I love it and it's not difficult to apply it at all, you just need a bit of practice and more time on hand.
Eye lid primer - Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eye Lid Primer, I received a sample of it in the Twitter promotion, I like it, I think it's a nice base under eyeshadows, it prolongs their wear time and intensifies the colours, just like any other bases I've tried. The only thing that it makes it different from others is that it contains SPF20 which is quite beneficial to the skin of our lids but I'm not sure if I would pay over £20 pounds for the full size.
Eyeshadows - Sleek Enchanted Forest palette.
Eyeliner - Seventeen Lacquer Liner (review).
Mascara - Seventeen Falsifeye HD.
False Lashes - Ardell Demi Wispies.

To finish off my makeup I used:
Blush - Max Factor Crème Puff Blush in Seductive Pink, I adore this blush, it goes with any makeup look, gives a natural subtle flush to cheeks and adds a tiny bit of glow, not to mention the formula is fantastic.
Highlighter - Makeup Revolution Radiant Light in Breathe, this is very subtle highlighter which gives more of a sheen, glow from within, then shimmer to the skin, I love it as I'm not the biggest fan of intense highlights.

Lips
I lined my lips with Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Liner in Midnight Plum and then applied the gorgeous Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in shade 30.

And this is the finished look :)

I hope you enjoyed this makeup look! I really loved wearing it and will most definitely recreate it again, the plummy shade in the crease works well with the plummy/berry lips and the overall look has Autumn vibes.

Let me know how do you like to pair your berry lipsticks with?

  1. I love this look! How does the benefit primer compare to their other one? I didn't like it much so I'm hoping their newer one is better x
