Today I'm sharing with you another makeup set which is a limited edition for Holidays 2015, it's the Real Cheeky Party set by Benefit. I missed out last year's one so as soon as I saw the new one available on Debenhams website I ordered it straight away. I hadn't tried any Benefit blushers or the 'oh so famous' Hoola bronzer before, so I thought this kind of set is a perfect way to try out a few products without a high price tag. Even though I use blush every day, if wearing makeup, I don't like to spend lots of money on one as I feel like drugstore alternatives are good enough. That's the reason why I never bought a single Benefit blush, even though lots of people love and recommend them.
But now I have a whole set to play with which I'm happy about.
'Real Cheeky Party' set comes in a metallic case with colourful, fun design, just what you expect from the brand. I love the packaging and even if I decide to depot the products or I finish them, I can re-use the tin as it's sturdy, it has magnetic closure and just so pretty and fun to look at, it definitely brightens up my morning when I reach for it.
Apart from blushes and a bronzer the 'Real Cheeky Party' set includes deluxe sample of They're Real Mascara and Push-Up Liner. To be honest, I'm not a massive fan of either of them. I've tried before the mascara and I don't think it's that good for my lashes, I much prefer their Roller Lash mascara. The liner seems like a fantastic idea and yes, it's easier to create a wing with it but I found the formula a bit tricky to apply it and it's a bit crumbly. Nevertheless, I will still get some use of these samples and, the truth is, that I bought the set mainly for the blushes.
There are 4 blushes: Dandelion, Rockateur, Sugarbomb, Coralista, Hoola bronzer and Watt's Up! highlighter included in the set. I'm happy to have them all in my collection, they're all very good quality, silky soft, they apply and blend easily and last well throughout the day on my skin. I don't think they're very pigmented but with blushes I actually prefer that as I can slowly build the intensity, if required, instead worrying of applying too much at once.
Dandelion (4g vs 7g full size) - light baby pink with very subtle shimmer through it, it gives just a flush of colour to my cheeks and I love it with dark eye makeup or with very minimal makeup.
Rockateur (5g vs 5g) - mauve-y rose shade with subtle golden sheen to it, my favourite of the bunch.
Sugarbomb (6g vs 8g) - it contains four distinct colours that blend together to create a natural peachy-pink shade with subtle shimmer.
Coralista ( 5g vs 8g) - peachy coral, quite similar to Sugarbomb but less shimmery.
Hoola ( 5g vs 8g) - matte medium tan bronzer, perfect to warm up the face, can be also used for contouring.
Watt's Up! (1.5g vs 9.4) - cream to powder formula, pink champagne shade, gives quite subtle glow.
As you can see there is a good amount of products, most of the powders are nearly full size, so the set has amazing value for money. If you're like me and haven't tried any Benefit blushes I highly recommend getting this Holiday set.
