Subtle smokey grey eyes with SEVENTEEN Cosmetics

SEVENTEEN is a budget friendly brand that often gets overlooked, especially by women over 20s as it seems like it's a brand for teenagers with its name suggesting it and the general look of their products. But the truth is, that there are some brilliant makeup items that can be used by a person at any age and what's even better, everything is very affordable.
I have tried some SEVENTEEN products in the past, like their Stay Time foundation which I really liked, Skin Wow Primer, great alternative to Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector or Phwoarr Paint Under Eye Concealer which is fantastic, although a bit too drying under the eyes for a woman my age but amazing to conceal any blemishes etc.
When people behind the Boots Team (SEVENTEEN is Boots own brand) asked if I want to try some SEVENTEEN products I didn't hesitate.

I was kindly sent a set of products which immediately made me think of creating an eye look with them as I had everything I needed, from the brow product, eyeshadows, to mascara. The packaging of all the products, while simple and made of plastic, looks well made and make the products look more expensive then they actually are.
Let me tell a little bit about all the products I received.

Seventeen Cosmetics

Mono Eyeshadow in Midnight Pearl, £3.89 - it's a grey-ish silver with pearly finish, the formula is really smooth and soft, it blends easily and lasts for about 8 hours on the lid applied over a primer. The pigmentation is not the greatest but it's easily buildable and I didn't notice fallout with this eyeshadow. I remember swatching some other shades and there are some really beautiful colours, well worth checking them out.
Eye Crayon in Platinum, £3.99 - this is a taupe silver, smooth and creamy, it blends really easily and once it sets it doesn't go anywhere but it's removed without much effort with a micellar water or any other makeup remover. I like to use it all over the lid as a simple eye look or as a base for another eyeshadow with similar colour.

Seventeen Cosmetics Lacquer Liner

Lacquer Liner Wet Look Finish, £3.99 - this is a fantastic liquid liner, very black and it leaves a kind of glossy (wet) finish, the tiny brush is very precise and while this kind of eye liners are not my favourite I think it's a great one for those who like using them. The quality of product is impressive, not only it's very pigmented but it also stays on all day without smudging or crumbling.

Falsifeye HD Mascara, £6.99 - I was very excited to receive this mascara as I was meaning to get it after hearing only amazing reviews on it. It has a plastic wand with spikey "teeth" and it's great at separating and lengthening lashes but I didn't find it good at adding volume to them which is what I look for in my mascara, so while I do like it I'm not loving it. The pigmentation is good and it lasts on me without smudging all day.

Brow's That Brow Kit, £5.99 - this is a lovely compact which contains everything you need to fill in your brows, as long as the shades will match your natural brows, unfortunately there is no other shades available as far as I know. There is a handy mirror behind the little guide card. The kit contains brow pencil, wax, to shape and tame your brows, powder to set the wax and highlighting powder to add a bit of light on the brow bone. I love the cool medium brown shade and the formula of the brow pencil, not too dry and not too waxy, perfect! I'm not the biggest fan of using wax and powder on my brows but I did tried these two and they work well together. The pigmentation of wax is very weak, the powder has too much purple undertones to it in my opinion,
but applied over the wax they both give a nice cool toned taupe brown which will be great for many people. The highlighter is a really nice pearly white shade. I can see this brow kit becoming a staple for many girls and I will consider purchasing a new one if I run out of the pencil as I just love it.

Here's a simple makeup look I created using all the SEVENTEEN products I received.
First I applied the Eye Crayon in Platinum on to my entire lid and blended it lightly with a synthetic brush to create a base for the Midnight Pearl eyeshadow, to blend the shadow colours in my crease I used the brow powder from the Brow Kit and it did a great job. To highlight the inner corner and the brow bone I used the highlighting shade from the Brow Kit. I lined my lower lash line with the Eye Crayon in Platinum, lined my upper lashes with Lacquer Liner and applied a few coats of Falsifeye HD mascara. To fill in my brows I used the Brow Pencil.

SEVENTEEN recently has launched a BLOGGER NETWORK website which is free to join and a fantastic opportunity for bloggers to promote their content, connect with others, learn tips and tricks and read the latest news from the brand. Definitely check it out!

Have you tried any SEVENTEEN products? What would you recommend for me to buy next? I'm thinking, some lipsticks maybe :)
