If you're a regular reader of my blog then you know that a few weeks ago I was sent some products from Ole Henriksen to take part in the #RealUsersRealResults campaign (read here) and today I want to update you on how I got on with everything after using them for a month. I will focus on three products that are put together by Ole Henriksen and called 3 Little Wonders which effectively work together to improve the skin's appearance and texture.
The 3 Little Wonders kit includes Invigorating Night Treatment, Truth Serum Collagen Booster and Sheer Transformation cream which you can also buy separately. These three products work in synergy to reveal more youthful looking, radiant complexion. All products are formulated without parabens, sulphates or phthalates.
Invigorating Night Treatment - lightweight clear gel, with very subtle fresh scent, a little goes a long way, it sinks into the skin very quickly without leaving any residue. It contains a 12 source alpha hydroxyl acid complex including glycolic, lactic & citric acids to refine the skin texture, smooth out wrinkles and minimise the appearance of pores and dark spots. Added hydrating mucopolysaccharrides bind moisture to the skin, while algae extract nourishes with Vit.E and minerals. Because of the high content of AHA I feel the tingling sensation when the gel is applied to the skin but it lasts only a few seconds and it's not in any means uncomfortable. I use it, obviously, at night following with the Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil, although you can use the Sheer Transformation cream next.
Truth Serum Collagen Booster - oil free, lightweight, runny gel consistency with delicious fruity scent, it gets absorbed quickly by the skin leaving it super soft and supple. It's rich in Vitamin C complex which helps to smooth out lines and wrinkles and prevents further damage. High in antioxidants green tea extract protects against environmental damage. Rosehips extract repairs and strengthens skin cells. Sodium Hyaluronate binds moisture to the skin and Vitamin E heals, restores and nourishes the skin.
The serum is such a pleasure to use in the morning because of its uplifting scent, it also instantly makes my skin feel nourished and hydrated. I follow it with Sheer Transformation Cream.
Sheer Transformation cream - oil free, silky cream, it feels super light on the skin and it sinks in almost instantly. Its ingredients help to fade discolorations such as freckles, age spots and sun damage. Vitamin C stimulates collagen production, fruit acids improve the skin texture and smooth lines. Sandalwood, geranium, licorice and chamomile smooth, nourish and balance the skin.
The cream is perfect to use in the mornings and before applying makeup as it's quickly absorbing and doesn't leave any greasy, sticky residue.
My experience after using 3 Little Wonders for a month.
I am very impressed with all these products and while I can't really say which one made the biggest difference as I used them all together, I can clearly see that my skin's appearance has really improved. I hope you can see that on the above 'before and after' pictures (in both pictures my skin is bare without any foundation, concealer on).
Discoloration on my face has faded, my pores look tighter and the skin is much smoother, brighter and even. I used to have lots of under skin little bumps, especially in the forehead area, which now are nearly all gone. My skin is nicely hydrated, I don't suffer with any dry patches now. Also my skin is not as oily as it used to be, it feels very well balanced.
After using the 3 Little Wonders for a week I could already see that my skin is smoother and softer. Then after around 2 weeks I started breaking out which made me frustrated a bit as I don't get spots very often. But I think my skin was kind of detoxing itself with the help of the regular deep exfoliation. I kept using all the products as usual but added a Clarifying Clay Mask from Origins once a week as an extra treatment. My spots cleared out very quickly and I don't break out any more unless I indulge myself in lots of sugary treats, if I get a spot or two but I know it's because of my diet.
I am very happy with how my skin looks at the moment and of course I will be continuing to use the Ole Henriksen products and I highly recommend trying the 3 Little Wonders to anyone who suffers with pigmentation, large pores, uneven skin tone or dehydration.
I've found 3 Little Wonder Mini Set on Escentual (£18), so if you want to try the products for yourself then that's a fantastic way to start.
