If you've been around here for a while you know that I love experimenting with colourful eye makeup and I'm not scared to wear it outside the house. But one colour that I have found very wearable and often reach for it, even during the day, is purple and all its variation. And today I'm sharing with you pretty purple eye makeup created with the Freedom Makeup 'Dreamcatcher' palette which I reviewed recently.
Primer - I received a sample of Emma Hardie Protect & Prime SPF30 which is a skin protecting cream with added primer to blur imperfection, I used it a few times and while I love how luminous my skin looks after I applied it, it makes my skin feel tight and a bit uncomfortable so definitely it's not a product I will be purchasing a full size anytime soon.
Foundation - L'Oreal True Match in the shade W3 Golden Beige, I have fallen in love with this foundation, it gives me good coverage but looks and feels very natural on my skin and even though it has slightly dewy finish it lasts well on me for most of the day.
Concealer - to hide any darkness under my eyes and brighten that area I used a combination of Maybelline Fit Me in the shade 10 and L'Oreal Lumi Magique in Light, both of them work great on my skin, and after setting them with powder, they don't crease.
Powder - to set my concealer and foundation I have been using the L'Oreal True Match powder in the shade W1 Golden Ivory.
Bronzer - to add a bit of warmth to my face I used Maybelline Dream Sun bronzer in Brunette and to contour my cheeks the Maybelline Master Sculpt in Medium/Dark.
Blush - Inglot #72 which is a cool toned baby pink.
Highlighter - I used the highlighting powder from the Maybelline Master Sculpt set.
I used three shades from the Dreamcatcher palette and matte medium brown from my customised Inglot palette as a transition shade and matte cream to highlight the brow bone.
You can pair this eye look with nude lips but I wanted to add something with more colour and chose the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate #33 which is a baby pink with purple undertones. I love these lipsticks, they're so creamy, moisturising, feel very comfortable on the lips, yet the wear time is good and they last 3-4 hours. And they're so affordable!
And that's the finished look :)
Let me know what are your thoughts on this makeup look. Is purple a shade you find wearable and reach for it when you want to play with colours?
PS. where the Summer has gone?? I can't believe how miserable the weather has been last week. I'm glad we haven't planned anything for the weekend that requires lots of sun :) It looks like we'll be having a quite, relaxing couple of days with only our friends' son's birthday party thrown in on Sunday. Have a lovely weekend!
