Kiss Cosmetics 'Volumetric Lust' mascara

If you're a regular reader of beauty blogs you probably have noticed a new UK brand on the market, it's Kiss Cosmetics who launched their first lip product Kisstick by the end of April. Since then they have released some other products and keep bringing more. I've had the pleasure to test the newest addition to their range, the Volumetric Lust mascara, due to launch on Kiss Cosmetics website on the 10th of June.

Mascara is a makeup item that I can't be without, if I wear any makeup you'll be sure I will have mascara on, as my lashes without one are nearly invisible. So when I opened the little parcel Kiss Cosmetics sent to me I was very happy to see the Volumetric Lust mascara.
To start with, the packaging looks really nice with the glittery lid, girly and fun but not tacky.
But, obviously, the most important part is the mascara wand and the formula and I haven't been disappointed with these two.

The brush is quite big and after using the Benefit Roller Lash mascara for the last couple of months which has a smaller wand I was a bit afraid I will not like the Kiss Cosmetics offering. But it took me only couple of times to get used to it and I can happily report that the brush is excellent, it deposits the right amount of product without clumping the lashes and separates them beautifully.

Kiss Cosmetics says:
Volumetric Lust is a lightweight and volumising mascara! The 'conical' shaped brush ensures that lashes are defined and lengthened. The space between the turns gives good product distribution which thickens and adds volume to the lashes. This Paraben free formula provides a nutritional treatment promoting longer and stronger lashes.

While I haven't used the mascara for long enough to see if the nutritional claims are true I have to agree with the rest.

Volumetric Lust mascara adds length and volume to my lashes, in the picture above I'm wearing two thin coats of it. It separates my lashes and slightly curl them. It's very buildable and you can achieve pretty dramatic look with it but I found, that adding more then three coats to my lashes don't make them look very attractive as I prefer more natural look on everyday basis. This mascara has the perfect formula for me, it doesn't smudge and lasts all day on my lashes, but it's still very easy to remove with my usual micellar water.
The mascara wand reminds me a bit the one from Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara which is my all time favourite (review here) and the results it gives are pretty similar.

If you like the sound of Volumetric Lust mascara you can get it from Kiss Cosmetics website since 10th of June and it will cost £9, which is a fair price for a great quality mascara. Will you be tempted to try it?

I really love the packaging, think the glitter is a fun touch. Also it looks really good so I may be tempted one day (I just have so many mascaras already!) x

  2. My first thought was that the wand looked like the mascara from Too Faced, but I'm not the biggest fan of it (I prefer tiny plastic wands usually). Which his fine, because I can't get this brand anyway lol

  5. Oooo! You lashes look great with the mascara and it's nice to know that the mascara is decently priced too. I got to check if they are now offering worldwide delivery.
